Many interesting sites to keep you busy if you choose Stavrianna Farm for your extended vacation. You will always have new locations to explore!
It is located 19 klm from Stavrianna Farm, 30 min ride through impressive Kerynitis Gorge. Church in a tree. There is a unique church in the trunk of three huge platanos trees(2000 years old) dedicated to Virgin Mary. Also a stone built church next to it 200 years old with very well preserved frescoes. Nearby you can have lunch at Potami Taverna and taste Maria's delicious cooking, next to Kerynitis River under the shade of huge Platanos trees. Altitude is about 800 meters and temperature at least 5 degrees less than sea level. Highly recomended for lunch on hot summer days. There are 3 tavernas you can enjoy your lunch or dinner. Try To Potami taverna with Maria's specialties. All in all a very unique place!
Plataniotissa
It is located 19 klm from Stavrianna Farm, 30 min ride through impressive Kerynitis Gorge. Church in a tree. Built in a cave with breathtaking views, incorporates a very interesting museum. Free entrance. Open all year. Closes between 1.00-2.00 pm for monks lunch. It is on the way to Kalavryta.

A popular ski resort area during the winter months with many hotels and restaurants. It is also known for its Holocaust Museum and Sacrifice Place. It is on the way to Cave Lakes and Planitero. It is a monastery built in 961 AD at an altitude 961 meters, and can be described as the symbolic birthplace of modern Greece. It was burnt and rebuild many times through its history. Nafplion historic city is located 133.5 klm from Stavrianna Farm, 1h 35 min easy driving. Nafplio is probably the most beautiful town in Greece. It was the first capital of Greece. It is a very picturesque port with many pedestrian roads full with cafes and restaurants. On top of it at 214 meters altitude is a Venetian castle with amazing views. You can combine this visit with Ancient Epidaurus and Ancient Mycynae.

Tsivlos lake is located about 43 klm from Stavrianna Farm(one hour drive) at an altitude of 800 meters. Impressive view and a very clean lake you can swim in freely with a terific view of the forested cliffs. Petrino Taverna nearby offers excellent home made food and delicious lamp chops grilled to perfection at a very reasonable price. A perfect choice for day excursion and lunch. The train was built 120 years ago by a French engineer and it was a major technological achievement of its time. It operates continously since then. Vouraikos Gorge is part of the E4 European Path.

In Diakopto there are three souvlaki places operating all year round and a unique street food Lilith's Ethnic Food offering Middle East and Far East plates right across the train station at Diakopto.

Even in windy days you will always have a choice of two beaches to swim in calm waters. Besides the three listed below there are Nikoleika, Pounta, and Corali beach.
