STATE PARK FEE AT ENTRANCE
With unobstructed views of the mountains, Chatfield is a popular spot for fishing or spending a day out on the boat. Fishing boats and pontoons are available for rental at the Chatfield Marina. The south end of the reservoir is also great for kayaking and paddle boarding (rentals available at Colorado Water Sports).
The park is quiet and peaceful in the morning, and is a great place for a morning walk or bike around the water. It also serves as a takeoff and landing spot for hot air balloons.
The park is livelier in then afternoon, with multiple beaches used for BBQs and picnics. There is also a large off-leash dog area.

This is a good spot for a more strenuous hike with rolling views of the front range. Make sure to bring lots of water, as much of the trail is exposed and can get hot. Watch out for mountain bikers coming down.

Check out the calendar of events while in town - you won't regret spending the money! A unique and beautiful experience. While concerts are my favorite, Red Rocks also hosts Saturday morning yoga a few times a month, and Film on the Rocks on Mondays throughout summer.
Red Rocks is in the town of Morrison which has some good hikes and a cute downtown area for ice cream, restaurants, or rooftop drinks!

Breckenridge Brewery is my favorite place to go on a sunny Saturday afternoon. While the farmhouse is great for a traditional dining experience, the beer garden outside is what makes this place special. Lawn games, picnic tables, and fire pits make this a great spot for kids, dogs, and beer-lovers!
