Slightly further in there is Riviera Retail Park and The Bridge Retail Park where you will find an Asda Superstore and other major retailers. If you arrived by car, it is likely that you will have passed these. Places to eat There are several takeaways in the area including Fish and Chips, Indian, Chinese, Pizzas and Kebabs. We have found the Fish and Chips from Hanbury's to be excellent and the Indian food from the Mirch Masala (Also dine in) to be very good. You can follow the path South to Torquay where you can take in some amazing views of Anstey's Cove Hopes Nose and Thatcher Point then to Meadfoot Beach and to Daddyhole Plain where you can take a path around the cliff (by the coastguard station) all the way into Torquay harbour. This walk is along the cliff so there are a lot of stairs! Dartmoor National Park is approximately 45 minutes' drive away. This is a great place for walking or mountain bikes and there are far too many routes to mention! There are numerous good quality bars and restaurants within walking distance, The South West Coastal path runs right by the apartment for some stunning walks, Babbacombe Model Village and a trip through time at Bygones! A short walk to St Marychurch (5 minutes) will take you to a lovely precinct with coffee shops, bars and local buisnesses (Including a hand made chocolate shop!)

The nearest mainline train station is Torquay which is approximately 10 minutes away by taxi or if you prefer there are buses that take you almost to the door (Bus No 22). The apartment is conveniently situated near main bus routes. No.122 and No. 22 bus stops can be found only a few minutes’ walk away, around the block on Babbacombe Road (A379). Bus No.122 to goes to Paignton via Torquay harbour, No. 22 to Torquay town centre and harbourside. Buses are run by Stagecoach and timetables are available online.
