Best vegan fast food in Brooklyn. They have amazing smoothies and gluten free wraps. Very friendly and free wifi. I love this place bad. Their Nostrand location is better for peace and quiet but I can get a ton of work done there on a weekday morning.

Amazing Thai restaurant in Williamsburg! Not a secret though, as this place is often booked. Try to make a reservation if you're going in the evening with a group, otherwise if it's just one or two people, you should be able to get take-out at the minimum, though you'll likely be seated after a wait.

I love to go to the reservoir for peace and quite and to admire the lake. It's so beautiful and peaceful and you'll always see friendly neighbors walking or jogging.

Play tennis, soccer, basketball or simply hang out on the swings. I love to get away to this park which is one of the most beautiful in Brooklyn. They also have a nice garden where neighbors adopt plots.

The sign on the front says Sunny Supermarket, but on Google it's Jenice. I love going to this place for my water, juices and toiletries, even though I may get lucky with some fresh plantain. The family that runs the shop is super friendly.

Famous for it's forward thinking exhibitions, Brooklyn Museum is a must stop spot for anyone passing through this lovely borough. I particularly love that they have African art exhibits regularly; and their First Saturdays dance party is a legend in BK.

Sightseeing
Really beautiful boardwalk, and lots of amazing restaurants. The views of Manhattan are stunning (especially at night) and this can be a real winner for a first date.

Getting Around
The J (at Van Siclen and Fulton St) is pretty reliable and will get you into Manhattan in about 30 minutes, but first you'll pass through Bed Stuy, Bushwick and Williamsburg. It runs above ground so you'll have access to your phone until you get to the first Manhattan stop.
There is also a C train stop if you go a bit further on Van Siclen Ave to Liberty.
