This is a former ghost town with a copper and gold mining mining history. It has amazing views of the Verde Valley looking toward Jerome. Today it is alive and well boasting interesting historic buildings and fun restaurants like the Hunted Hamburger and sophisticated hotel fine dining. It is located high atop Cleopatra Hill between Sedona and Prescott.

This sacred Buddhist presence is located within hiking distance from our home. Stupas are one of the oldest forms of sacred architecture on the planet and this one holds blessings within it that promote spiritual deepening, healing, prosperity, and peace. There is a large Bronze image of a Buddha, and the meditation wheel that is pictured here.

I recommend seeing the Grand Canyon in the early morning hours or at Sunset, when the light and shadows are most magical. I think of the best viewing times for Sedona in a similar way..
