Hiking
Fairly flat, for Quadra
Beautiful high bluff, cliff-side walk. The initial walk from the second parking space is not long. Then there is a very short, steep climb to the cliff top walk. The hike is short, and if you return the way you came, not a long hike.
The trail actually continues down the cliff to a pleasant, inland forest trail back to the parking lot. It makes the hike much longer, though.
Shellaligan Pass Trail

The local grocery stores are run by Tru-Value. They give 10% of grocery bills, excluding tobacco and alcohol, back to the community. Every person on the island knows to tell the cashier the 3 digit code of their charity of choice. Those charities are posted in the wall of the stores, so check them out before you check out, so the cashier doesn’t have to repeat the “tourist-spiel”. They will usually just ask “and your points?” Or once things are totalled, just give them the 3 digits and you’ll seem like a real islander! On Wednesdays, the 10% is given as a discount directly to any senior.
