Sightseeing

Here are some of the many places we like to visit near Port Isaac
Port Gaverne is a 5 minute walk down hill, longer to walk up again. You can hire sea kayaks and paddle boards. There is a pub and cafe as well as a public toilet. It is a great place for swimming, especially at high tide on a calm day. It is a mainly stony beach but at low tide there is sand and many rock pools to explore.

A lovely beach for surfing and also building sand castles. You can hire wetsuites and boards at the top of the main beach. We love New Polzeath beach which is a bit quieter.

A lovely beach with wonderful views. It is a 20 mintute walk down to the beach from the car park and the beach is only accessable at low tide. You do need to climb over rocks to get to the beach so not suitable for push chairs.

We love walking Pentire Head and round the rumps to Polzeath. You can park at Pentire Farm and walk round the headland and then back up to the farm through the fields.
