Art Museum
“A world class art gallery -- spanning the globe and historical eras -- set in an early example of one of architecture's great masters, Louis Kahn (see his later masterpiece across the street: the Yale Center for British Art). A newer addition has expanded the experience.”

College Library
“Built in 1961-1963 and designed by Architect Gordon Bunshaft, of Skidmore Owings & Merrill. The design is in the New Formalist mode of Modernism, using a symmetrical and repeated rhythm of geometric pattern. The structure of the library consists of four walls, each a Vierendeel welded steel tapered-cross truss into which a grid of 1/4 inch thick Vermont Montclair Danby marble panes has been fitted. The exterior of the steel is clad in granite while the interior frame is clad in precast stone and granite. ”

“Excellent tapas restaurant that has a very high-end feel, but is not terribly expensive. The restaurant has a very energetic feel to it. You feel like you're in New York when you walk in.”

“Rudy's was relocated and revamped after 75 years of being the best dive bar in town. The new location is cleaner, has better interior design, and an expanded menu, but the fact that it is no longer a dive bar is also a disappointment to many. I don't go here for the service, the food, or the cocktails. I come here for the decent-to-good beer selection, a baseball game on the TV (note, this is NOT a sports bar and the TVs are not invasive) and the company. So this bar may not be the bar for you, but I'm recommending it for those special bar flies out there that don't want anything too fancy and enjoy other bar flies. Don't go on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday nights when they have karaoke/DJs.”

“The best bread in New Haven! This great cafe/bookstore has been in New Haven for decades. It is in the ground floor of the British Art Museum which makes for a nice combination of activities on a rainy day. The British Art Museum is free also!”
