“ Not sure why it is being labeled as a library, but getting into the White House is only accessible through tours, which can be registered for online. However, if visitors would like to see the president’s residence from the outside, then it’s an easy walk down Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 15th St. NW and 17th St. NW. There, parties can take pictures with the White House in the backdrop and scream obscenities at, or praises for, Trump through the fence! ”

“Founding Farmers is a local chain with only a couple locations throughout the DMV and owned by the same pair that owns Farmers, Fishers, Bakers in Georgetown. The menu is SO good and with a lot of options. But be prepared with a reservation or you'll be waiting a while. ”

“The Renwick Gallery is a small museum located close to the White House. It focuses on American craft and decorative arts from the 19th to the 21st century. Not a huge time commitment and always interesting! *Free Admission* ”

“Flanked by the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, the beautiful World War II Memorial, complete with bronze sculptures and stone architecture, pays tribute to the Americans who served in the war, honors those who fell, and recognizes the victory of freedom over tyranny.”

“A popular memorial, the National World War II Memorial was dedicated in 2004 to the 400,000-plus Americans who died during the war. A circle of 56 pilings (representing the then 56 U.S. states and territories) looks over the Rainbow Pool. At night, with lights shining, this memorial can be quite ethereal.”

“No description really necessary. I would recommend setting a tour way in advance if you can or the Ghost Tours at LaFayette Park are surprisingly entertaining and informative even for adults.”
