“This is the first place I recommend visiting in Alicante. A magnificent fortress - a castle founded by the Arabs in the ninth century AD, majestically rises above our city from where a beautiful view of the whole neighborhood opens! You must see it! Do not forget to use a special elevator that is located directly opposite the beach.”

Zoo
“Very easy to find and to access. If you are driving there is a large underground car park on site with lifts direct to the entry level. The zoo is fairly compact and very well laid out and maintained. The onsite restaurant is ok although prices could be a little better - our advice is to eat at around 1330 as by 1400 there is always a queue.”

“Located near Terra Mitica, Terra Natura is a new-generation wildlife park where you can discover the "Zooinmersion" experience -a new concept in habitat design which will enable you to come into contact with the animals as if there where no barriers between you- at least, no visible ones! The 320,000 square metres of the Benidorm park are divided into four themed areas: Pangea, the entrance to the park, America, Asia and Europe. A great fun day out for all the family”

“The northeast side of the old-town is the youngest and most bohemian part of the city. El Carmen took shape in medieval times, situated outside of the 11th-century Moorish walls but within the Christian ones that went up in the 14th-century. What’s great about this place is the way the palaces next to these cool, shaded alleys have been converted into hip boutiques, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Calle de Caballeros, which begins at Plaza de la Virgen, is where many nights out in Valencia will end up. You can also see fragments of Valencia’s late-medieval defences, at Torres de Quart and Torres de Serranos.”
