Art Gallery
“With its imposing red-rust structure designed by Wood Marsh, ACCA is one of the most recognisable buildings in Melbourne. Founded in 1983, and transferring to its current purpose-built premises in Southbank in 2002, the Centre is one of Australia's leading public institutions for contemporary art. The geometrically-aligned ediface houses a number of exhibitions at any one time as well as serving as a hub for lectures, symposiums, performances, live music and educational programs. Previous exhibiting artists include Barbara Kruger, Mikala Dwyer, eX de Medici and Bill Henson. The rotating schedule of exhibitions means that every time you come back to the gallery there's always something different to enjoy.”

“The Darwin Railway Club, situated in the cosy tropical suburb of Parap, is one of the oldest Social Clubs in Darwin, with a rich and colourful history. Originally a Social and Workers club for the men and women who worked on the now defunct local Darwin Railway Line, the Club has transformed over the decades to become a popular venue with all walks of life from the Darwin community, and one of the leading live music venues in the Territory, hosting iconic local, interstate and international touring musicians, bands and artists. Known for famously taking a stand against employing topless barmaids, and the relentless work of dedicated volunteers and community members who passionately rebuilt the venue after a fire nearly destroyed the club in 2009, the club has gone from strength to strength. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the Night Club strip in the city centre, with it's tropical and relaxed atmosphere, the Darwin Railway Club is continuing to gain respect as one of Darwins' hidden gems. Stop by for a cold beer, dine from our top class kitchen, catch a show, and discover this hiddem gem for yourself. You will be more than likely welcomed in by our resident canine "Sid", he's very friendly, and loves a good tummy scratch too! See you soon. ”
