“Referred to as “Hendry’s” by the locals. Hendry’s is usually filled with scampering dogs as it welcomes four-legged friends off-leash. There’s even a coin-operated pet wash! A picnic area, restrooms, and a great seafood restaurant are all available onsite. ”

Beach
“Lead Better Beach and Shoreline park has surfing, beach, and great views. The surf break at Leadbetter is beginner friendly and often has lessons as well as old time long boarders. At low tide you can go for a long walk on the wet sand and even find some tide pools. Shoreline park is great for a walk or run and has views of the ocean, mountains and Santa Barbara. The Shoreline cafe offers beachside dinning. The seafood at Brophy's at the harbor is very popular. Walk out the spit for more views and on bigger swell days a great view of the best surfers local surfers.”

“You can learn about our Channel Islands, the rangers are knowledgable and very eager to any questions you may have. If you have children the JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM is an amazing experience for the kids to learn and earn badges at many different National Parks . Channel Islands NP has maybe 5 others available an Angler, Fishing, Night Sky, Paleontologist and a few more. Lots of fun. ”

“Beautiful day-use beach with lifeguards, picnic tables, and nice facilities. There is an extensive hiking trail network across from the beach. Trailheads for various trails can be found along Sycamore Canyon Road which starts across Pacific Coast Highway from the beach parking area.
