Parker og natur i Sandy River

De bedste parker

Park
“Built by the WPC . Beautiful gem of the NW! Historic highway is amazing, and awe inspiring...Even if you just drive it... Multiple water falls, with short hikes. Multnomah falls is the last big one, gift shop, restaurant. ”

“Huge ammount of acres , kind of uniquely wild. Flatt space, so nothing to clime. It is a trail loop by Sandy river. ”

Park
“Excellent trail system about 8 miles from cabin down Barlow Trail Road. To access the main trailhead, you have to pedal about 3 miles up a paved logging road climbing approximately 2,000'. If you are a beginner or novice, there is a loop around the parking lot and an entry point to Lower Hide and Seek about 1.5 miles up the logging road. Laura's Loop about .5 mile up is nice for beginners, and at .75 TNT/Little Monkey has slopestyle jumps for those wanting to air it out. For more advanced riders there are few options at the top, including my favorite: Communication Breakdown (flow)-Quid Pro Flow (flow)-338(XC)-Two Turntables (fast and tight), Lower Hide and Seek (flow).”

Campground
“This park has paved pathways, picnic areas and hiking trails that run along the Salmon River. They have a fish viewing window and you can see the salmon spawning in the river sometimes. There's an interesting topographical map that shows the area really well.”

Park
“Rooster Rock is simply the most wonderful place on Earth. Period. There's the beautiful Gorge around you, sandy beach to play on, water to swim in, and a magical crowd of naked gay folks. Yes, butts everywhere. I visit at least once a week during the summer, and often much more. There's now a bus, called Columbia Gorge Express, so you don't even need to drive to get there.”

Trail
“Hiking in the Columbia River Gorge is absolutely stunning. There are many awesome hikes and trails, but one of my favorites that offers spectacular views and a good hike but not super difficult is Angels Rest. It is not an easy hike either, but the reward is at the very top. ”

Waterfall
“We had a fire in the Columbia River Gorge last year, so a lot of the gorge hiking trails are closed on the Oregon side. Latourell Falls is still open though, and there's a nice, pretty easy hike that will just take you an hour or two depending on your pace--and you can see both lower and upper falls this way. There are also picnic tables nearby. The drive out here is also beautiful, be sure to check out nearby Crown Point!”
