“San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinese community on the West Coast, and the second largest in the United States surpassed only by New York City's. It's one of the most exotic-feeling parts of San Francisco and at times, you may hear more Chinese spoken on Stockton Street than on the streets of Hong Kong. It's also an interesting mix of tourist attraction and ethnic enclave and small enough to see in just a couple of hours. Most people would agree it's a great place to visit. Chinatown is best to see mid-day when all the shops are open and the streets are busy. It gets quiet very soon after dark. ”

“TIP: go to the west side, it’s where the locals prefer. Much nicer than the painted ladies if you look closely at the architecture and flora. ”

“[Golden Gate Park] I include this as part of the Golden Gate Park tour as its next door to it. Still has a feel of the 1960s. This was part of where hippie culture began. Take time to stroll up and down the street. Check out the wild and weird shops.”

“Bernal Heights is a quiet, family neighborhood perched on a hill just above the Mission District. From here you get a picturesque view of the SF skyline. The perfect location to hop into the hustle and bustle of the city and retreat back to enjoy the sparkling view of city lights in the evening. 13-30 minutes to downtown depending on traffic with Uber or BART.”

City Hall, a sprawling 1915 landmark with a gold-leafed dome, anchors a complex that includes the elegant War Memorial Opera House, the Asian Art Museum and a large plaza. Entertainment seekers choose from plays at historic theaters, and concerts at sleek spots such as Davis Symphony Hall and the SFJazz Center.”

There is a wealth of happy-hour hot spots and elegant date-night destinations, including the classic Tadich Grill, the city’s oldest restaurant. The Jackson Square Historic District features remnants of the Barbary Coast, a 19th-century red-light district.”
