“The 450 acre Levera National Park holds a strong reputation as Grenada's most scenic and spectacular coastal area. Its picture-perfect beach is quite popular on weekends, and its lagoon is one of the most important wildlife habitats on the island. Consisting of an extensive mangrove swamp, the lagoon is a haven for an abundance of bird species, including many herons, black-necked stilts, common snipes, and other waterfowl. Levera's marine areas are equally esteemed, with outstanding coral reefs and sea grass beds that shelter lobster and beautiful reef fishes. The beaches are also a hatchery for sea turtles, which are protected from May to September. ”

“Process of rum making has not changed since the 1800's. It is a bit mucky and very rustic. Best to go between Monday and Friday if you want to see rum being made. Aggie's Restaurant and Bar is a good stop for a local lunch. ”

Natural Feature
“Situated 3 miles (5 km) off the northern tip of Grenada, this large private island is covered in lush green vegetation and enjoys a tropical climate. The island is composed of 2 volcanic knolls, separated by a flat plain. The terrain is nicely elevated, and the shoreline is indented with small bays. Sandy beaches are located at different places along the coast, and a road network on the island provides easy access. There are 4 uninhabited houses on Ile de Caille, as well as an airstrip. Electricity is available, and water is stored in a 40,000 gallon (151 000 litre) tank.”
