“Highly recommend a trip to old St. Augustine if possible during your stay! This historic district of the United State's oldest established Spanish city has something for everyone. Parking can be a tizzy! Wear comfortable shoes and take yourself on a tour of this beautiful area. The historic district has tons of shops, eateries, historic sites, a pirate museum, a winery, and borders one of our lovely waterways. Book a sunset tour on one of the sailboats or just enjoy the rich history and culture of the area!”

“A favorite for our family, the kiddos love doing the scavenger hunt through the museum and pretending to shoot canons at one another. :)”

“Visit St. Augustine's Old Jail which was closed in the early 1950's. It was originally located near what today is Flagler College, but Henry Flagler ordered it relocated to its present location. Because he could. This is a guided tour by re-enactor jail guards- very entertaining, and not a little bit jarring to the senses. Crime definitely did NOT pay in St. Augustine!”

“This isn’t for the faint of heart, and probably not for very young children. I have to say this is probably one of the most interesting museums I’ve ever been to. It is right downtown on St. George Street and is a must see.”

“Where Pilgrims FIRST landed Most people miss the real significance of this historic site. Commemorated by a cross (not a rock), this is where European settlers first landed in the new world. And the first act of the first settlers was to celebrate Mass. This is not only a must see peacefull, prayerful site, but rich in history. If you come to Saint Augustine and don't visit this site you've missed the real history of the City and our country. ”
