“Botanic Gardens Singapore - honoured as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to the Gardens is free, except for the National Orchid Garden. There are weekend performances at the Symphony Stage in the evenings, between 6pm to 9.30pm. Free admission. Smoke Free Park. Getting there: From Blk 10G, walk to BLK 10P and follow a special shortcut footpath (lighted at night) leading to Caldecott Station. Take the train towards Harbour Front, one stop down is Botanic Gardens.”

“MacRitchie Reservoir - The largest reservoir in Singapore, completed in 1868. The main attraction of the reserve is the TreeTop Walk from the suspended bridge, which is open from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday (closes on Mondays). Free Admission. Getting there: The Reservoir is our neighbour. We can just walk to it by using a shortcut footpath via the back gate of Mt Alvernia Hospital, directly opposite Blk 10E of Braddell View @ Marymount Road.”
