“Urban green space with a recreation center, athletic fields, a fitness track & a swimming pool. There is a free Yoga class every Tuesday at 6pm. It's a safe place for afternoons and kids because there are police all the time. Relaxing, peaceful and nice. You can enjoy of Miami river, the ducks and ships around, besides a beautiful urban landscape of Brickell.”

“This modest park with a mural is a popular gathering place for domino & chess players. Fun to take a walk through and observe if you're not a local. While you're there, stop at one of the nice cafés nearby for a delicious Cuban coffee”

Park
“Located on Calle Ocho, Cuban Memorial Boulevard pays homage to Cuban soldiers who fought in the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban War of Independence. You’ll find a string of seven small monuments scattered throughout this stretch of road, including those honoring Cuban independence fighter Antonio Maceo Grajales and anti-communist crusader Tony Izquierdo. Additionally, check out the statues of the Virgin Mary and a 16-foot raised map of the island of Cuba with an inscription by patriot José Martí that reads, "La patria es agonia y deber,” which ttranslates to “The homeland is agony and duty."”

“For a bit of Miami history go visit Lummus park by the Miami River. See the oldest house in Miami and the old Miami slave quarters which later became an army barracks. Also good for picnics ”
