Resort
“Arcadia Village Hotel has live music most weekends, and also offers a big array of food options for dinner and lunch, especially on the weekends. Visit arcadiavillagehotel.com.au for more information. (You'll need either a bus or car to get to the hotel). Late nights are also just a short walk over the Picnic Bay Hill to Base Backpackers. With a divine beach bar setting, it's also a great place for an afternoon beer. For any events/live music, visit whatsonmagenticisland.com.au and check the daily calendar or home page.”

Museum
“The MIHCC and Museum are literally just across the road. You'll find helpful staff that are ready to tell you fantastic tales about the history of Magnetic Island, and the characters that have inhabited it. Shipwrecks surround the island, so they also have information on these if you're interested. There is a small shop and a separate building full of information. Magnetic Island also has many artists and galleries. Most will welcome you, but you may want to call them first to arrange an appointment. Just go to: whatsonmagenticisland.com.au and look for the 'Artists & Galleries' tab on the right.”
