Point of Interest
“Low-key sand bar with a rustic, powdery beach for picnics and parties, typically reached by boat. This tiny little island open to the public only by way of boat is a great place to pull right up into the sand hop out with your chairs, tents, large shade umbrellas, or whatever else you brought with you and hang out for a while and have a good time. There are usually maybe three to six other people on the island at the time. If you're not coming by boat you can take Broadway Street or North Shore Road until you see signs for the beach. We came in via North Shore Road, parked on the street, and then walked north for a bit on the beach to get to Beer Can Island.”
