“LBI, as Long Beach Island is known in the local lingo, is a beach lover’s paradise. Even at the widest point of this 18-mile-long island strewn with small shore towns and long stretches of white sand, you’re never more than half a mile from the other side.”

“This is a very popular family spot on the island. It was featured on the show Man vs. Food. There is something for everyone here. There are classic items and ones that are completely original and unique. Make sure you try the wings! There are 16 sauces for you to choose from both Original Breaded, or Naked. The Chicken or the Egg has become know locally and Nationally for these wings. Also, the entire menu is available 24 hours a day (in season).”

“If you are looking for some great seafood, you will want to stop by here. The Black Whale is Beach Haven’s corner bar, from Fred’s Beer Can Stash to crafted cocktails, that just happens to also be one of the best fish houses on LBI.”

“"Spend the Day at 9th and Bay!" Bay Village was designed and built by John Maschal in 1965 as a 19th Century replica of a waterfront village. Visitors can still see them make delicious hand-whipped Country Kettle Fudge, marvel at the giant Elephant Ears in the Crust & Crumb Bakery or find the perfect Long Beach Island gifts for friends and family back home. Today the village features over 20 unique shops and eateries, there is truly something for everyone. ”

“Mud City has been serving fresh seafood for 20 years in the area. They are the quintessential seafood house with offerings ranging from blue claw crabs to fresh fish; they are known for their Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Also, they provide options for non-seafood lovers, such as a filet mignon, roasted chicken and a few others. They do not take reservations nor call-ahead seating. There is an outside patio, where you can order apps and drinks while you wait. It is a BYOB restaurant with the pleasure of offering a limited bar menu, too. ”

Park
“The 32 acre park was created in 1957. The main attraction is the lighthouse, which you can climb to the lightkeepers catwalk. From this lofty perch there are wonderful views of LBI, the Atlantic Ocean, Barnegat Bay, Barnegat Inlet and Island Beach State Park. Besides the lighthouse people come to the park to walk, birdwatch, learn about maritime history and fish.”
