“This hike is great in both summer and winter. IN the winter months make sure you have 4 wheel drive or the roads are dry - you can contact us for a road update! Be properly dressed in winter clothes, and in the summer take bear spray. Always tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. The view from the top is incredible! ”

“Awesome view of chugach mountains and great hiking area's. Make sure to drive slowly up Eagle River Valley to look for moose along the river banks and ponds. ”

“If a great view sounds better to you than a climb up Flattop, the Glen Alps Trail is the next best thing for a fantastic view of the Anchorage Bowl and the Cook Inlet. On most days, the Kenai Peninsula is visible in the distance. Primarily an easy hike after one moderate uphill climb, the trail is suitable for most adults and teens. The elderly, small children, and anyone with difficulty standing or walking should opt for one of the other trails in the area.”

“Really awesome views of the city from the parking lot. There is a trail that goes further up and I think it's about 5 miles round trip, but the last part is difficult. ”

“On a clear day you can get a great view of Denali just from walking up the fenced trail on the far left side of the parking lot. This is also the trailhead for Flat Top mountain. ”

“Have yet to see a glacier in Alaska? This hike is easily for beginners and will bring you right to the glacier. Byron glacier TH is located on the way to Seward, about an hour out of town. ”

“Near Point via Stuckagain Heights is a 3.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Anchorage, Alaska that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. A more direct route to Near Point than using the Basher Trailhead. Access is through an easement in a residential area. There is no trail sign and no parking at the trailhead due to "Fire Lane" signs. Ask us for specifics and we can direct you where to park. This is the route we typically take as there are less people at the start”

“This is an awesome trail to hike rain or shine. On rainy days it's best to stay on the lower, treed parts of the trail on either the Lost Lake (Seward) or Primrose ends of the trail. But on sunny days I highly recommend allocating enough time to hike to the lake which is about 5 miles one way with about 1500 ft elevation gain. The hike all the way through is 15 miles. This is one of the best hikes on the Kenai Peninsula. If you are a hiker you probably don't want to miss this one. ”

“This trail head is about 3 miles from Stuckagain Villa. We use this trail when we are taking out elderly folks or young kids. It has a series of trails that you can choose from that are relatively flat, wide and maintained. You can also choose some of the more narrow trails that shoot off from the main ones and explore a little more.”
