Hindu Temple
“The view is breathtaking. At low tide, you can walk out to the temple but the view of the temple at high tide is still worth seeing. Sunset is the peak time to go and this is very crowded. You have to get through an avenue of tourist shops offering all the usual Bali products to get to the temple. There is even a couple of snakes on offer for a photo opportunity.”

Hindu Temple
“Pura Luhur Uluwatu or Uluwatu Temple located in Pecatu Village, Kuta Sub-district, Badung District, Bali. The temple is 27 kilometers from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Air Port. Uluwatu Temple, also called Luwur Temple, is one of the six Sad Kahyangan Temples , the main spiritual pillars in Bali Island. The Piodalan or ceremony commemorating the temple’s anniversary is held on Anggara Kasih day, in wuku Medangsia in Caka calendar. Usually the ceremony lasts for three days thronged by of thousands of Hindus. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. Without a doubt, what makes Uluwatu Temple spectacular is its cliff-top setting at the edge of a plateau 250 feet above the waves of the Indian Ocean. A small forest lies at the front and hundreds of monkeys dwell here. They are trusted by the community as a guardian of the holiness of temple. The best time to visit is just before sunset. A Kecak dance is performed everyday at the adjacent cliff-top stage at 18:00 to 19:00. What makes it the most favorite venue to watch a Kecak dance is the sunset background of the performance. In order to make the visitors feel comfortable, there are some public facilities of Uluwatu Temple like, parking area, tour guide, local security, restaurant, hotel, souvenir shop, food stall, drink stall, villa, public toilet and just 53 minutes by motor bike from Canggu Dream Village Hotel.”

Forest
“The Sacred Monkey Forest is the best known natural sanctuary in Bali. It is located in the village of Padangtegal, off the Monkey Forest Road which is about 10 minutes drive away from the villa. It is home to three temples and around 600 long-tail Macaques monkeys. Inside the forest they sell bunches of bananas to feed the inhabitants. If you hold a banana above your head, the monkey will climb up your body and sit on your shoulder to eat it! The monkeys are everywhere! They are surprisingly friendly and can be very cheeky so its very important to keep your belongings secured and out of sight as they are notorious for quickly stealing sunglasses, bags, food from tourists if care is not taken. Location: Jalan Monkey Forest, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia Open: Daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm Phone: +62 (0)361 971 304”

Motorcycle Shop

“Deus makes motorcycles. Stripped down and rebuilt. Customized for your life and revved up for everything else. Deus makes four gears and loose throttles. Wind in your hair and thunder in your guts. Full speed towards the volcano. And that’s just the beginning. Deus makes surfboards. Deus makes coffee. Deus makes music. Deus makes things happen. That’s what Deus makes. For everything else, there is the Temple of Enthusiasm. For caffeine and gasoline. For burnt rubber and trimming fins. For fiberglass and blues. For tacos and tattoos. The Temple is where you end up from never going home. The Temple is the destination where the road doesn’t end. This is Bali. This is the once-quiet village called Canggu. With its winding rice-paddy back roads and a surf breaks for every appetite, this is where the Deus Temple of Enthusiasm takes root. Like some strange new tree. The Temple must be seen to be understood. There is beer on tap. There is art on walls. There is shaping bays and surfboards stacked like sets out the back. There is photo studios and 3 world food fusion. Cocktails built by hand and paint spilled on the floor. Everything is fast and smooth and toes over the noes. Music in your ears and flashbulbs in your eyes. Hand-carved skateboards and individualise pushies. Surfboards and sushi. Movie nights and drag races. It doesn’t stop there. This is the prayer of greasy hands. This is the path of resin-stuck sandals. This is the sacred ground on which we dig. Welcome to the Temple of Enthusiasm. Yes, we make motorcycles and surfboards. But it’s everything in between that makes us just 7 minutes by motor bike from Canggu Dream Village Hotel. ”
