Park
“The park actually goes along the west side of Manhattan, and you can enter here in the 50s. Rent a bike from the park and feel the breeze -- with sailboats and lush parks to the west, and to the east, skyscrapers and neighborhoods.”

Basketball Court
“One of the most famous streetball courts, right by the West 4th subway so it’s easy to reach. Good luck getting two hands on the chain-link fence to watch the tournaments, comedy, and shenanigans—it’s jam-packed. The one full court, the Cage, is cramped quarters. The games are battles. You sometimes see NBA guys and overseas professionals here. If you got no game, don’t call next. Sherm or Worthy, who you need to see to get on the list, will give you a nickname real fast!”

“See the replica of 'arc de triomphe', street performers, live music, or just lay in the grass with a blanket. Beautiful park with nicely kept grounds.”

Playground
“If you've uttered 'I love the city but I could never raise kids here?' even once this weekend, go see how it's done. Prepare to be out-cooled by 20 kids under the age of 5. Don't be weird and stuff.”

Garden
“St. Luke's was named for the physician evangelist when the city was gripped by a yellow fever epidemic in 1820. Walk behind the church building, and you’ll find an absolutely gorgeous, beautifully landscaped wonderland of flowers, trees, and bushes, with small paths and benches for sitting. It feels like a rural English churchyard. The church's first service was actually held at Newgate prison—the official state prison of New York from 1796 to 1828—which used to stand at Hudson and Christopher Street. There are plaques commemorating Newgate at the Christopher Street/Sheridan Square subway station.”
