Scenic Lookout
“At 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Park, features an observation tower that offers spectacular 360° views of the Smokies and all 7 states. 7-mile long Clingmans Dome Road offers scenic pullouts with endless views of ridges and valleys along the way. It ends in a large parking area from which a 0.5-mile, paved, steep trail leads to the observation tower on top.”

Tourist Information Center
“Come here with questions on which trails may work for you and your family. Hikes of all skill levels and duration are available. Whether you have a great hike book or not, these rangers are super helpful in helping you pick the right hike in the park. If traveling with a small child or elderly folks, you can still enjoy the park. There is a beautiful, short, easy trail right behind the Sugarland Welcome Center. It even has a waterfall. Our little one and grandparents loved it!”

Park
“This is one of our all time favorite places to visit a few times a year. The birds and trainers are amazing! The parrots will talk to you and you have the option to go into a large area that you will be able to get photos taken with the birds, as well as let them eat out of your hand. The grounds are gorgeous. This is also a very affordable attraction to visit. A definite must see.”
