“When long-time surfer Eugene Tan began emailing photos of the waves and surfers of Bondi Beach to friends some 14 years ago, he had no idea his little project would evolve to anything as big as Aquabumps. Today, 51,000 people subscribe to his daily email newsletter – featuring pictures he’s taken that morning in Bondi (or, if on holidays, in Tahiti, the Maldives, Fiji...) – and thousands pour into the gallery to see the images up on the wall. There’s been a book – 2010’s A Day at Bondi – and there’s another one on the way in October. And there’s a partnership with Havaianas: the new line of Aquabumps thongs come out in August. Why did his little project take off? “It’s been popular because it’s grown organically,” says Tan. “It’s a hand-selected group of likeminded people who all have one thing in common: they love the beach."”

“Since its opening in 1992 the Sydney Jewish Museum has become an integral part of the cultural life of Sydney. The Museum is dedicated to documenting and teaching the history and lessons of the Holocaust. They commemorate the lives of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators, honour the survivors and pay tribute to the "Righteous Among Nations". The Museum challenges visitors' perception of democracy, morality, social justice and human rights. The Museums' timeline invites visitors to explore Jewish history from its Biblical origin in the Ancient Near East to the thriving community in Australia. ”

“This is the cheaper alternative to the Bridge Climb but still getting the spectacular view of Sydney! The entry level of the pylon lookout is the pedestrian walkway level of the bridge. A climb up the stairs inside the pylon brings you to the first level where the admission counter is , plus exhibits. The second level features the challenges of building the steel bridge and a souvenir shop. This is followed by a mezzanine level where the rich history of the bridge is on exhibit. Finally, after 200 steps, you get to the pylon lookout, which is almost at the same level as the peak of the arch of the bridge with amazing views!! The pylon lookout is open to the public 7 days, 10am to 5pm, but is closed on Christmas Day. ”
