“Known as Hadrian's Tomb, the Castel Sant'Angelo is a fortress located on the right bank of the Tiber, a short distance from the Vatican City.Construction of the building began in the year 135 under the direction of the Emperor Hadrian, who intended to use it as mausoleum for himself and his family. It was finished in the year 139 and a short time later, it became a military building, which in the year 403 would be integrated to the Aurelian Walls. In the year 590, while a great epidemic of plague devastated the city, the Pope Gregory I had a vision of Saint Michael the Archangel on top of the castle, announcing the end of the epidemic. In memory of the apparition the building is crowned with a statue of an angel. In the year 1277 an 800 metre fortified corridor was built that connected the castle with the Vatican City so that the Pope could escape in the event that he were in danger. During the sieges that occurred in Rome during 1527, the Pope Clement VII used the fortress as a refuge.”

“Ask pretty much anyone what they recommend you do in Budapest and they’ll likely suggest a night out at Szimpla Kert. The iconic party place is undoubtedly the city’s most famous nightspot, and has inspired wave after wave of “ruin pubs” that have popped up in the years since it opened. We sat down with one of the owners, Ábel Zsendovits, to talk about the role Szimpla has played in Budapest becoming one of Europe’s top tourist destinations, particularly among young people. While you might think he’s too busy running his Szimpla empire to have a lemonade with us, he was generous with his time. Location: H-1075 Budapest, Kazinczy u. 14 ”

“The Moscow Kremlin is the main attraction of the Russian capital, which has great historical, architectural, social and political value. The entrance to the territory is through the Kutafya tower, topped with a beautiful openwork "crown". Before you get to the Kremlin, you need to buy tickets in the pavilion of dark glass, which is located near the Alexander garden, go through the "frame" of the metal detector and the procedure of inspection of personal belongings. Large bags, suitcases and backpacks will have to be handed over to the storage room.”
