“Henry Mercer had the vision to collect the tools that built America. He was likely viewed as quite an eccentric when he began his quest, but thanks to him he preserved artifacts and tools that you will only read about in history books. The building itself is just as interesting as the collection and as a child, this was one of my favorite places. It's a wonderland for kids to explore. My father had antique printing presses that he used to make our family Christmas cards on every year and I am proud that one of his presses is in their permanent collection.”
