“Trail Head located in the parking lot of Denali RV Park and Motel, mile 245.1 of Parks Highway. Turn left as you enter the RV Park. A bit of an incline but the views are spectacular. In July and August you can pick fresh blueberries along the way. My kids and I can hike it in about and hour and half. ”

“ Denali Arts & Glass Studio is the premium local art gallery in Denali Park, Alaska. They are a privately and locally owned gallery in the heart of Denali, one mile north of Denali National Park entrance. They feature functional, useable, and wearable artwork made by about 50 local Alaskan artists, with a handful of artists from the lower 48. They have a unique array of artwork that is fun and affordable, and a very welcoming space to shop in. When visiting their studio you will often see one of their artists at work creating in our workshop. Their inventory includes: stained glass, fused glass, mosaics, jewelry, antler art, fabric art, yarns, knitted & crocheted items, paintings, ornaments, notecards, and so much more.”

“A parking lot just past Bison Gulch bridge near Healy,Alaska. Strenuous trail with some shale rock along parts of trail, but not terrible. The view of Healy and the surrounding mountains is wonderful! Another personal favorite. ”

“Mahay's offers Devils Canyon tours. We did it and loved it. It's the only safe way to travel the river to the Class 5 rapids. You will be dazzled! Check out Steve Mahay's pictures in the shop, too.”

“Don't let the word "highway" fool you. This is over 100 miles of mostly gravel road through the Alaska wilderness from Cantwell to Paxon. Worth seeing, but take it slow so you don't get a flat!”

“Clear Sky Lodge just a 30 minute trip north of Healy and well worth the drive serves some of the best steaks around the area. Sandy, the owner, has perfected the art of a delicious steak with the trimmings. The rustic atmosphere of the log cabin built bar adds a unique experience everyone should enjoy at least once while visiting the area. ”
