“Love the water and dogs? This park is one of the best in Dallas. It sits next to White Rock Lake. There's a ramp for your dog to get into the water. Recent improvements; landscaping, installing covered benches and added side walks. There are three major areas: one for big dogs over 30 lbs, area for little dogs under 30 lbs and then the area where dogs can run in the lake. It's really well organized now and offers areas for dog owners to sit while the dogs play. Weekend mornings can be busy.”

Park
“Surrounds White Rock Lake in the eastern part of Dallas, easy to get to from US 75 and then heading east on Mockingbird Lane. Features a 9.3-mile paved, wide trail for hiking, running and bicycling, with several piers and numerous parking lots around the lake, picnic areas, a dog park, and kayak and canoe rental (check out www.whiterockpaddle.com). On the east side of the lake, you can find beautiful sunset views of the downtown Dallas skyline, especially from the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden (www.dallasarboretum.org). Trail is crowded on weekends after 11.”

“ I like the fact that kids playground area has lot of shades, which is very helpful in summer. It is a very good place for picnics, birthday parties etc. Parking is not a problem in regular days except if there is any event in the park. It has many different swings and slides for infants and young kids. It is right next to the CORE.”
