“Cheltenham plays host to 25+ significant festivals a year, several of which are world leading. There’s the world’s longest-running literary festival, The Cheltenham Literature Festival, which celebrates its 70th this year. The Music Festival which has just turned 70 year’s old plus the Jazz and Science Festivals. And of course, not forgetting The Cheltenham Festival, the most prestigious jump racing event of the year, with the grand finale, the legendary Gold Cup. There are plenty of other experiences to choose from in Cheltenham’s vibrant festival scene – including the Street Chilli Fiesta, four new festivals which have recently joined the party - Cheltenham Paint Festival, Cheltenham International Film Festival, Cheltenham Balloon Fiesta and Cheltenham Wellbeing Festival and many, many more.”

Outlet Mall
“Adjacent to the Great Western Railway Museum, this is a bustling outlet centre. Not as high end as Bicester Village, this is still worth a visit for quality outlet shops. The outlet uses the old Great Western railay workshops and there are static displays of workshop artefacts around the site”

“Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Sudeley Castle & Gardens has played an important role in England’s history for over 1,000 years. Rated amongst the top attractions on TripAdvisor for ‘Things to Do in the Cotswolds’, the castle rooms and exhibits contain many fascinating treasures, from ancient Roman times to the present day. Outside, the castle is surrounded by a breathtaking 1,200 acre estate and ten award-winning gardens. The centrepiece is the Queens Garden, so named because four of England’s queens – Anne Boleyn, Katherine Parr, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth I – once walked upon the original Tudor Parterre. All-year-round activities and events.”

“An Oxford institution as old as the university. The Perch is one of Oxford’s oldest pubs. We’re just a few minutes walk from the Isis (Oxford’s stretch of the Thames) and Port Meadow, a historic common stretching from Jericho to Wolvercote. In the summer, our garden is the envy of the whole city, and our 17th century plaster-rubble building with its traditional thatched roof will charm even the most seasoned pub-goers. There’s been a pub on our site for at least 800 years. In those 800 years, we’ve been a favourite of some of Britain’s best poets and authors, a frequent haunt of Inspector Morse, and even an influential venue on the British Jazz scene. In Spring 2015, we conducted a full scale renovation to bring a traditional pub into the modern world, and ensure we’ll be around for the next 800 years.”
