Beach
“Wonderful place to chill with friends, spend a few hours to enjoy the view. Make sure to check out the little cafe behind the tourist office, one of the best spots for an easy breakfast or lazy afternoon tea and snacks. It offers one of the best panoramas in the area. ”

“This is probably th ebest sea-food restaurants in Cascais. it's well worth the detour! As always, to avoid surprizes ask for the price of anything that staff suggests. I recommend going for lunch and then going for a swim at the nearby (windy) Guincho beach”

Seafood Restaurant

“This is one of my favourite restaurants, with a stunning view over the ocean. Top service, great fish. Go for lunch as you will enjoy the view. Its not a budget place. At least a 50-60 Euro per person depending on drinks and type of seafood. ”

Market
“The central Market of Cascais "Mercado da Vila". The best place for fresh produce, fish, meat, sausages, bread, vegetables, flowers, etc. Open all days from 8am to 2pm. But the full, picturesque version, full of traders selling their wares, only takes placo on Wednesday morning. Its also a very nice hub for restaurants inside. "Marisco na Praça" for seafood. "Rubro" for meat. "Guli Mercado" nice Italian.”

Beach
“A tiny beach snuggled and secluded between cliffs a stone's throw from the busy streets of downtown Cascais. I love this place in summer. The beach is clean and accessible down a steep flight of stairs. there is a little bar / coffee shop on the beach in summer and another up on the terrace view spot all year round. This little beach is a great option if you went for a walk on the pier and landed up in Cascais with your towel and bathing trunks. A personal favourite for summer. ”

Nature
“A lovely little calm beach in the heart of Cascais. This is a centre point where many festivals take place throughout the year take place. The beach can get a little bit crowded in peak seasons but is extremely action packed with beach volleyball and picturesque views. Also know as the Fisherman's beach. If you walk further along the coast towards Estoril, many other beaches are available with their own unique characters. ”

“In this fortress there's a second hand bookshop... called «Deja lu», you may find that book you were looking for and it may be a first edition! There's also a restaurant where you can have lunch in the terrace of the fortress.”

“Probably the best place in town to try out Portuguese tapas! They have two restaurants situated in Cascais, so if you want to walk there make sure you book the one in the market. Also do make sure to book it to avoid disappointment.”

“If you're in Lisbon, you definitely can't leave without taking a tour through Cascais. Less than an hour away from the city - and you can even take the train and enjoy the view on the way there - it's the true jewel of Portugal's capital. I recommend take a day trip tour from Lisbon to Sintra with a stop in Cascais ”
