Zoo
“The zoo is privately own and has a great range of animals and animal encounters (we did the cheetah one which was fantastic). The aquarium is a hit too and so is the updated playground! You can bring your own food in and use the BBQ areas.”

“Cockington Green Gardens is one of Canberra's quiet achievers. You could quite easily overlook it but don't, it is truly unforgettable experience. The display of meticulously handcrafted miniature buildings from around the world is set in a beautifully landscaped gardens. Experience a ride on the miniature steam train, view the 34 room dolls house ‘Waverley’, or enjoy homemade scones in the Garden Cafe. Park
“Located to the north-east of central Canberra, within the Canberra Nature Park, Mount Ainslie boasts extraordinary panoramic views of central Canberra, particularly Capital Hill, as well as Black Mountain (another gorgeous lookout, if you’ve got time!) to the West. You’ll find the Mount Ainslie Kokoda summit train, a well-maintained and informatively signposted walking trail behind the Australian War Memorial, to be an excellent and highly educational way to experience the mountain.”
