“For a gateway into Gran Canaria's past, why not visit one of GC's museums? Las Palmas de Gran Canaria's Casa de Cólon (Columbus House) museum chronicles the adventures of Christopher Columbus whilst Gáldar's Cueva Pintada (Painted Cave) museum reveals the island's pre-Spanish history.”

Science Museum
“An absolute must. They do charge for entry. Locals get a different price then tourists. Well worth it. Most displays in English as well. MUSTS: The Gyroscope, The Flight Simulator, The Virtual Reality Experiences, The Boat Simulator, the Shows... All of it Great for kids too, WIFI is free, washrooms are clean. Sorry for all the Science Stuff they DO NOT HAVE A PUBLIC DRINKING FOUNTAIN nor PUBLIC ACCESS Toilets or Free Entry which is a real shame for the amount of tourism dollars arriving to the island everyday and that it is supposed to be a SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY Museum. Last time we checked public drinking fountains used to exist in society. ”

“Located in the old Civil Hospital of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it is an unusual project that brings together under the same name the Museum of Natural Sciences of Tenerife, the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife and the Canary Institute of Bioanthropology - created in 1993 to investigate fields such as human paleobiology and paleopathology, forensic anthropology and genetics.”

“The Museum of Science and the Cosmos is not a traditional museum. It belongs to a generation of science museums whose purpose is not simply to show scientific and technical achievements.”

“Located at the geographical centre of San Bartolomé, Casa-Museo del Campesino was César Manrique’s way to recognise the efforts made by country people from Lanzarote, who faced treacherous conditions in order to bring the land back to life. Casa-Museo del Campesino provides an insight into Architecture, Agriculture, Handicrafts and traditional Gastronomy, topped up by Monumento a la Fecundidad, an avant-garde piece of art used by César Manrique to pay his very own tribute.”

Te invitamos a nuestra casa y a conocer nuestros tesoros.”
