“Free entry to the exhibition and gardens. Interactive exhibits for children and some really interesting local history. Good for a rainy day and/or a less costly afternoon out.”

“Four miles of Golden Sands! The other end of St Ives Bay. National Trust Car Parks & a cafe just off the beach. Very popular with surfers & kite boarders.”

“Acres of woodland and countryside on the doorstep, no need to get in a car. Ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. The park is varied and provides something for everyone. At the far end is a lake, car park and cafe. This area more popular. There are ducks, swans and squirrels that are pretty tame here. However, for the more adventurous you can walk to North Cliffs and head out along the Coastal Path. Always something different to see , bluebells just over. This is home to some rather good entertainment - Rogue Theatre are often performing their magic here and have a new summer production. More details on their website. ”

“If you want to understand Cornwall's mining heritage this is the place to go. Working exhibits, down to earth, hands on and surrounded by the fantastic mining landscapes of the Great Flat Lode. The Croust Hut provides excellent luches and snacks.”
