Bar

“You won't believe this place - a live music bar with craft beer tucked into the back of a traditional Vermont Country Store a few miles from the Cottage. Open Mike on Wednesday and great local music. Ask for Artie”

Lodging
“Hard to categorize from outside Vermont: this is an HONOR-SYSTEM organic butcher shop. Up at the top of a country road is a barn on the right side of the road. Thru the swinging door is a small parlor on the front of the barn lined with freezers along all four walls, each with product and price list on the door. In the middle of the room is a table with a money box on it. Choose from beefalo steaks, thick-cut smoked bacon, lamb cuts and any sorts of meat you like. All organic and grassfed. A wonderful place to stop by on a country ride.”

Museum
“This is hands down the most wonderful museum around. It's walking distance from our cottage, but only open certain times of year. It is in an historic building that used to be a Tavern. It is curated by some amazing people and the exhibitions are on par with some of the best museums in New England! No kidding!”

“The little village of Adamant is worth a visit. Waterfalls, the cutest village store I've ever seen, and a beautiful short drive to get there. ”

Route
“This historic saw mill is located near Maple Corners and Curtis Pond. We like checking out the mill pond and all the gearing, imagining what life was like more than a century ago, when it wasn't so easy to get a lumber for building a home. The sawmill is on a lovely loop walk or an enjoyable bike ride from the yurt.”
