“*The Thomas Cubitt – Upmarket stylish pub Named after the great Belgravia architect - is a perfect paneled pub, enclosed by French windows on two sides which open out on to the pretty Elizabeth Street and the huddles of tables outside, adding to the light, airy feel. The menu is focused on unfussy British country house cuisine, with occasional nods to traditional French food. Crisp crackling, slow-cooked Sunday roasts, fresh seafood, chocolate sponge, and lots of seasonal game and cheeses are the mainstays. The dining room prices are eye-watering (not surprisingly given the location, and the stunning building), but the short bar menu is excellent value, and it packs out at weekends. ”

Scottish Restaurant
$$$
“Just the other side of Victoria station is this traditional Scottish restaurant and bar, housed in a Regency townhouse complete with a cigar terrace. This place oozes class, with gleaming mahogany and red tones dominating the colour scheme, emulating the feel of an old-fashioned gentlemen’s club. There are multiple separate restaurants and bars within the building, with elegant private dining rooms to hire. As is only fitting, whisky is the order of the night, with Boisdale boasting a collection of rare Scottish malts, alongside a host of enticing cocktails and wines. The cherry on the top of each room is the nightly tunes of live jazz.”

French Restaurant

“*La Poule au Pot – Old style French bistro (17 minute walk) This French bistro would be comically cliched if it wasn't, in fact, the genuine article: the hanging baskets, cramped wooden furnishings, and rustic decor have been a Chelsea favourite since it was set up by emigres in 1962. Rabbit stews, fish soups and other bistro classics come lovingly prepared, and in suitably lavish portions. Romantic dinners are a specialty at La Poule au Pot and many lovers have bonded in appreciation of their magical steak béarnaise, fresh fish and foie gras. The vin de table is served in a magnum and you only pay for what you drink, a policy which perfectly reflects the unpretentious atmosphere. This restaurant has not changed for 30 years but why change when its already fantastic. 231 Ebury Street, London SW1W 8UT ££-£££ ”

“Hidden away beneath the hugely popular restaurant, Cambridge Street Kitchen, this lovely, hard to find cocktail bar occupies its own niche in the nightlife of Pimlico. The building itself is a former Victorian pub with a sordid reputation, transformed by the Artist Residence group. There’s a great range of drinks on offer in an intimate, low key setting that also hosts a monthly-changing selection of artwork — courtesy of a partnership with Soho’s Lawrence Alkin Gallery. Head down on Tuesday night for Test Tuesday’s, to see bar manager Steven and his team experiment with cocktails created using seasonal produce from the restaurant’s fresh fruit and veg supplier — and they’re cheaper than nor”

Chinese Restaurant

“*Hunan – Amazing Chinese Hunan is rated as one of London's best Chinese restaurants, rated extremely highly by chefs and critics alike. As the name suggests, you can expect Hunanese cooking here - so there's heat going on, but you'll be asked if you want them to dial it back, if needed. Make sure you are hungry. There is a lot of food served but it’s amazing! 51 Pimlico Road, London SW1W 8NE £££ ”

“There’s also the Pimlico Farmers Market, specialising in fresh fish and oysters, in a place called Orange Square or Mozart Square; that is, the address doesn’t actually exist, instead you must ask a local where to find it and they’ll set you right.”

“A great spot for breakfast or brunch. We came here for breakfast on my eldest daughters 18th birthday (July) and sat outside on the terrace. The food is good but also a place to see and be seen!”

“Chef Blumenthal is best known for the Fat Duck, where you may wait months for a table and a meal costs 220 pounds plus drinks and service. Dinner by Heston serves more accessible food at less elevated prices, but it’s still not cheap. Most mains cost 30 pounds to 40 pounds. The set lunch is 38 pounds for three courses but isn’t very exciting—although it includes the restaurant’s signature “wow,” the Meatfruit (a liver parfait in a mandarin gel). ”

“The Ebury Restaurant and Wine Bar has been quenching the thirsts and filling the bellies of Pimlico and Belgravia residents for over 40 years. The small bar in the front boasts an extensive wine list (more than 20 available by the glass) with helpful tasting notes.”

“Olivomare - The restaurant is very small with original and modest decor. But the food is amazing, pasta is absolutely the best. I recommend burrata with bottarga, tuna tartare and pasta with bottarga and clams. 10 Lower Belgrave Street, London SW1W 0LJ £££ ”
