A Bright and Cheerful Victorian Seaside House with the Sea just around the Corner There is a station nearby and the railway is not far from the house - so you will hear the trains rumble. Perfect for Families, dogs welcome.
The house is part of a terrace and has three floors. It is a Victorian family house just 3 minutes from the sea. The ground floor consists of a bright and cheerful living room with 2 cream leather sofa's and Sky tv ; an attractive dining room with a large table and table football; a pretty kitchen (with an amazing chandelier) and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The back door leads to a small yard. Fine for desperate children and dogs to get a breath of fresh air. The first set of stairs lead to three bedrooms (two double and one single)and two bathrooms all very different, but well supplied with space to hang clothes etc The theme of the decor is 'Seaside and on the landing wall is a Seaside Trompe l'oeille. There are lots of books in each room. One bathroom is large and one smaller with a shower. There is a washhand basin in the back bedroom. The view from the front bedrooms (One single and one double) is of the hills behind Barmouth and on lazy mornings I count the sheep and the walkers while I put off getting up to start the day! There is a fire door leading to the stairs for the second floor. There are two bedrooms one single and one double with a small shower room and toilet. There is also a sitting room with sky TV. The house has full gas central heating and is both warm and comfortable You can walk to Barmouth station in 5 minutes. The Co-op is next to the Station and the Best Fish and Chip shop in Barmouth is nearby
Barmouth is a very small town with lots of Cafes Pubs and Bars. There are an awful lot of gift shops and a couple of brilliant antique shops. The beaches are white sand with dunes ( popular with children and lovers) The harbour has a string of cafes along side where you can watch the more energetic holiday makers and fishermen sailing and fishing. Children like to catch crabs with bits of bacon on crab lines and then hopefully set them free! There are also fishing trips for visitors. Spanning the mouth of the Harbour is an amazing Railway Bridge. You can walk over the bridge to the countryside opposite. Barmouth is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and there are breath taking views of mountains all around. It is a centre for walking and climbing.

Rose Hill has 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (3 of which en-suite). On the first floor there is a large living room providing a great place to lounge out and unwind. The house has an outside decked terrace at the back.
We bought this wonderful house in March 2016 as a place to bring our three children, to spend time together by the lovely Barmouth coast. It's quite a big house so we quickly realised that it's the perfect place for family and friend get togethers so have decided to rent it out so that more people can enjoy using it. The house is set over four floors. The ground floor has a kitchen and dining room. The second floor has a large lounge and a double ensuite bedroom. The remainder of the bedrooms are on the second and third floors.
The house is located within metres of the plethora of beaches, shops, bars, restaurants and Barmouth's leisure facilities so there's no chance of you getting bored! We're not very far from a number of other lovely seaside resorts, villages and the exciting outdoor activities of Snowdonia National Park.

Stay cosy and warm in this waterfront pretty, private, boathouse. It has it's own estuary side garden, wonderful panoramic river views from all windows. This romantic, quirky quayside boathouse is unique, individual and idyllic. Watching the river birds is always fascinating, as is the coming and going of the tide. Find out more at bryncelynhols for the best prices.
Enjoy the changing tide from the comfort and warmth of the boathouse. Peacefully set down a private drive, away from roads you can watch the otters, herons and kingfishers on the riverbank. With it's own private beach for BBQ's and access to many wonderful walks, it is a nature lovers paradise. In terms of activities for those who need to be busy, this location is exceptional. Being by the riverside the house is ideal for fishing, crabbing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing. All swimming and boating here is at your own risk and we do recommend you consult the tide table and use buoyancy aids. Some guests may bring their own small boats and these can be launched from the slipway at the Boathouse.
Thinking about outings and local provisions – deliveries can be arranged from super markets you can walk across the bridge to Barmouth to pick up supplies or frequent the local pubs. There’s also a terrific butcher in Fairbourne that sources local meat and a convenience store for most other basics. The most fabulous beach is close by at Fairborne, with it’s own mini steam train ride and golf course, the beach is frequented by the local pony club but even on Bank holidays you often find that you have the beach to yourself. If you’re looing for an adventure you can take a ferry across to Barmouth, to eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Enjoy the ferry as the views are breathtaking.

Welcoming to families and dogs, the Cottage is built into the hillside of the Mawddach Estuary. It has stunning views across and down the estuary and at high tides the water laps against the terrace wall. The layout of the building is unique, and full of historical features, sloping floors and old staircases giving it character. It is amazingly private, with only one near neighbour.
The facilities are more comfortable second home than hotel, with mismatched crockery and comfortable furniture. The cottage history as a subdivided building means the kitchen is on the second floor, with an adjoining living room. This is great for cosy nights in and social cooking. Due to its location on the hillside, with the exception of the attic, there is ‘ground floor’ access on each floor. This means that the back door, which opens off the path from the drive, gives direct access into the kitchen. So despite it being on the second floor you don't need to haul anything up the stairs! The heating is eco-friendly, the additional insulation installed when the cottage was renovated means that it can be kept warm using ground source heating. There is underfloor heating and skirting heating throughout. For those who prefer to see a real fire there are two wood burning stoves one in the kitchen and one in the downstairs sitting room. Dogs are welcome, but we ask that you please keep them off the furniture and beds, please inform us on booking if you intend to bring your dogs. There are guest dog tags available, carrying the property details, please return after use.
North Wales is renowned for its beauty and this is very apparent here. The estuary is a constantly changing landscape which provides a beautiful and constantly changing backdrop. Like a beach the tide will go in and out twice a day. Surprising differences in current and tide height are caused by changes in wind, moon phase and atmospheric pressure. Sometimes the surface of the river is so still it looks like a mirror at other times large branches can be seen going swiftly by on the current. The opposite bank of the river is SSSI and birdwatching is easy from the terrace or windows.

The area is the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park and has plenty of attractions to suit all ages and tastes nearby. Award-winning beaches surround the area with their clean bathing and golden sands. Golf enthusiasts can try their hand at Fairbourne, approximately 2 miles. Nearby Dolgellau was subject to several gold rushes in the 1860s, when small amounts were found in the estuary, drawing hopeful prospectors from afar. Although some of the quartz veins did yield an amount of the precious metal, the source was short lived. At Bontddu, a few miles west of Dolgellau, gold extracted from that source was used for both the Queen’s wedding ring, and that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Today the town comes alive in mid July during the Sesiwn Fawr, when a series of bands and musical activities take place in pubs and open-air stages. For walkers, Dolgellau makes a good base for a number of wonderful walks, including hikes up the magnificent Cader Idris or more gentle ambles along the Mawddach Estuary. Horse riding and train rides along the coast are available locally; not to be missed are the Creggenan Lakes. Other attractions include King Arthur’s Labyrinth in Corris, near Machynlleth, where an underground boat takes visitors into the spectacular caverns under the Braichgoch mountain, accompanied by light and sound effects. The Corris craft centre offers a delight of local crafts, including jewellery, pottery, turned wood, leather goods and candles amongst others. Other places of interest include the Centre for Alternative Technology, the Talyllyn Railway, the unusual Italianate village of Portmeirion and the lively seaside town of Barmouth with its pretty harbour, great beach and seafood. Snowdonia is just under 1 hour away.

Abergynolwyn is a small village, 3 miles from the spectacular Tal y Llyn & Cadair Idris, 10 minutes from Tywyn beach and 35 minutes from Barmouth. Our house is a traditional slate cottage which has been fully renovated for modern comfort while retaining original features. The front of the house has a lovely garden, perfect for sitting and listening to the babbling stream. There are stunning walks straight from the house, up to Nant Gwernol waterfalls or downriver through rolling hills.
There are 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, a downstairs bathroom with bath, a master bedroom ensuite with shower and a toilet & sink in the attic room
The village is super friendly, the pub is fantastic and the scenery very beautiful. It is a quiet village so you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. There is a cafe but no shop. There is a great children's play area and the fabulous steam railway is a 10 minute walk up the hill (also with a brilliant play area that is free to use). You can take the steam train all the way to the beach!
