This is a cosy wee self-catering upstairs flat with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is adjoining the family home, but entirely self-contained and separate. The sleeping and living areas are the same space, with an open plan kitchen area and a separate room for shower, toilet and basin. Ample private parking.
Situated in gorgeous Argyll, there is walking, cycling, fishing, wildlife watching, golfing, sailing, dining and much more besides to enjoy - all within easy reach of Grianan Holiday Apartment. Britain's longest sea loch, or fjord, Loch Fyne, is just a mile away and there is beauty all around. Don't come here expecting supermarkets within walking distance - the nearest is 18 miles away. There are, however, two small local shops selling provisions. All in all, a great place for a relaxing getaway or an active break.

    One bedroom apartment. Situated directly under McCaig's Tower overlooking Oban, the flat is a short and somewhat steep walk to the town's centre. Simple & comfortable accommodation. It comprises of a livingroom/kitchen with stunning views over Oban Bay and beyond. A rear-facing double bedroom with (Winter) views of the Tower. And a shower room with large shower. The apartment offers the perfect base to explore and enjoy all that Oban and the West Coast has to offer.
    The kitchen comes fully equipped with a fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. The table is set for two. You are welcome to use our laptop (Windows 10) Entertainment is provided by a TV, a Blu-ray DVD player and a Freeview box you can pause/rewind TV and access several catch-up services (account may be required) There is a small selection of movies, books and games. There is also a DAB Radio which doubles as a bluetooth speaker should you wish to listen to your own music. All bedding and towels are provided. There is an ironing board and iron in the hall cupboard. The bedroom has an alarm clock, a hair-dryer and full length mirror.
    The main supermarkets are Lidl and Tesco. There is also a Marks & Spencer Food Hall, Aldi, and a Farmfoods near the cinema. Newspapers can be found at McColl's, WH Smiths and Hannah's. The Phoenix Cinema shows the latest releases on its two screens at its George Street premises. Atlantis Leisure is a short walk away. Its facilities include two pools, a soft play, tennis and squash courts and a gym. Oban has a wealth of restaurants, pubs, shops and places of interest.   • Vidunderlig base for en tur til Oban. McCaig-tårnet er praktisk talt lige uden for døren. Smuk udsigt lige fra stuen, der spænder over Oban.   • Lejligheden var smuk, og vi blev hilst velkommen med et personligt brev og bemærkede små rører rundt. Fremragende lokale tip til spisesteder og ting at gøre. Vi tog deres råd og besøgte mange af de placeringer, de havde fremhævet for os på et kort. Hvis vi kommer tilbage til Oban, prøver vi at booke her igen!

  • Oban-lejligheden var dejlig, og den lille dram var en rigtig dejlig touch. Placeringen kan være lidt vanskelig at finde, fordi adressen ikke er angivet på Google maps. Men når du først har fundet det, er det et fantastisk lille sted med en fantastisk udsigt en meget kort gåtur fra centrum.

  • Dejligt rent sted og praktisk til Main Street og færge, togterminal. Det er en smule vandretur, så hvis du ikke er i gang med at gå bakker eller trapper, kan du tage en taxa. Sengen er lidt lille, men behagelig. Der er dog nogle gode strejf: te, instant kaffe, mælk, brød, smør, syltetøj, wee dram af whisky og masser af Oban-information til turister.

  • Hvilken dejlig lejlighed i Oban! Vidunderlig udsigt med alle fornødenheder og alt ekstraudstyr (brød, korn, cookies, te, mælk - for ikke at nævne den store whiskyprøve!)! Oban er en labyrint af gader og baner. Men når du regnede ud af det, var det let at komme rundt. Margot er en vidunderlig vært og giver et perfekt sted for en fantastisk oplevelse i Oban! Gå ikke glip af at tage øernes ture, især Mull, Iona og Staffa.

Fully-stocked Kitchen has plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, pans, utensils, electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, coffee filter, toaster, microwave, sandwich toaster, dishwasher, washer & dryer, iron, ironing board, breakfast bar stools, Rocca granite countertops, stainless steel Belfast sink, and kitchen table. Living room has a large cream corner settee, smart (Internet) TV, coffee table, standard lamp and a large multi-fuel stove. Drive times to local destinations are: Helensburgh, Arrochar and Loch Lomond (30mins); Dumbarton (45 mins) and Glasgow (1 hour). Day trips to Inveraray, Fort William and Oban are popular, or choose simply to relax enjoying beautiful views in the locality.

  • Vi havde en vidunderlig par dage i Cove bare helt afslappende. Vi nød den dejlige lejlighed og snuggled ved ilden. Lejligheden har alt du muligvis vil have, så du kun har brug for dagligvarer. Visningerne var smukke, vi gik ikke langt på grund af snevejr men der var ikke behov for. En perfekt, romantisk ferie.

    The Anchor Room apartment. Bedroom en-suite. Sole use of living room and large spacious kitchen. Own entrance to REAR HALF OF BUNGALOW. You also have shared use of patio area with bbq and garden. Only 35 minutes drive from both Glasgow International Airport and Preswick Airport. It is a 55 min. journey by train into the center of Glasgow. Please note: we are on the mainland. You need to take the ferry to go to the island of Arran, bute or Cumrae.
    You have key for your own entrance by the rear patio door. The living room with large smart tv sofa bed and dining table. Bedroom with en-suite. Sole use of a fully equipped spacious kitchen. The town center is a 10 minutes walk.
    It is the rear half of a bungalow in a nice quite area with plenty on street parking with no restrictions.

    A one bedroom flat with lounge - diner, kitchen and bathroom situated in a traditional workers sandstone tenament block dating from 1882 it is full of character whilst having many modern features. Situated in the ancient capital of Carrick, Ayrshire, it provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore what Ayrshire has to offer as well as those seeking accomodation for events or other activities.
    We are ideally placed within ten minutes taxi journey for the popular wedding venues of Turnberry Hotel, Blairquhaun Castle, Dalduff Farm and the Brig O' Doon in Alloway and guests will enjoy exclusive use of the property during their stay.
    The following comes from the Visit Scotland web-site and sums up the town of Maybole; "Maybole is a small market town 9 miles south of Ayr, with some fascinating architecture. Maybole is a town whose lengthy history is evident from the many fine buildings on view. High Street is especially striking, running from the imposing town hall, built in 1887, to the equally impressive and much more unexpected Maybole Castle, believed to be the town's oldest inhabited house. This castle dates back to around 1560 and in many ways typifies the growth of Maybole. In 1686 it was recorded that the town was home to the town houses of no fewer than 28 lords and landowners with estates in Carrick and beyond. Many of Maybole's collection of remarkable buildings are found along Cassillis Street, a little north east from the town centre. This is dominated by the Parish Church built in 1808 in striking orange stone, but what really sets the church apart is its very odd square spire comprising six steps and looking as if it would feel entirely at home as part of an Aztec temple. Most impressive of them all is Culzean Castle, accessible from a clifftop walk in Culzean Country Park, to the west of Maybole. Robert Burns' father and mother met for the first time in Maybole. A white bust of Robert Burns marks the location. Maybole is also home to a picturesque 9-hole golf course and a 25m swimming pool. Vi fandt det også en god base for at udforske det generelle område.     You will have access to the entire apartment during your stay. The living area is extremely spacious with large & comfortable corner sofa, brand new Smart TV and fireplace for cosy nights in. The dining table also offers enough space to entertain bigger groups. The balcony off the living room offers exceptional views across the bay and to the islands - it is a fantastic spot to sit and watch the boats pass by! The 3 bedrooms are all generously sized: 2 with kingsize bed and 1 twin room. The kitchen has all the facilities you need to cook if you would like to during your stay. We also ensure continental breakfast items are included (coffee, tea, bread, cereals, preserves etc). We want to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.     The Holiday Home is spacious and well presented. It is nestled between the farm house and the barn and has good views of the loch and mountains from the living area. The accommodation comprises a double bedroom with an en-suite WC, a second Bedroom with 2 single beds a living area which converts into a double bed. Shower room with WC. Kitchen/breakfast area with dinning table and seating, Cooker, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Slow Cooker, Cooking Utensils, Pots, Pans, Crockery and Cutlery. Also provided are a Hairdryer, iPod Doc (Classic), games, DVD player. The Holiday home sleeps 4 comfortably but can accommodate 6. (additional charge after 4). Two night bookings will be accepted at £60 per night, please send enquiry to facilitate.
    Carrick Castle, on Loch Goil, is a hamlet of Lochgoilhead. Carrick Castle, lochgoilhead is located with the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It is situated in the Cowal Peninsula and access to the village is either via the A83 with a turning off the ‘Rest and be Thankful’, or the A815 from Dunoon. Carrick Castle village is named after Carrick Castle. The castle is not open to the public but it is worth getting close to it to appreciate its size and history. The Castle is a 15th-century tower house on the west shore of Loch Goil, Argyll, Scotland. It is located between Cuilmuich and Carrick, 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Lochgoilhead. Please look on youtube for the video titled "Carrick Castle, Loch Goil, Scotland" for an aerial view of Carrick Castle & Carrick Farm. There are lots of specular walks. Walk Ride or cycle! Walking the newly lain walks through Carrick Estate provides breath-taking views of Loch Goil and the surrounding countryside. These walks are yet to get into any guidebooks, so please share your experiences. It is also possible to walk to Ardentinny in about 4 hours (12.9 km / 8 miles one way). Ardnahein (15 minutes from Carrick Farm) joins the forestry road to Ardentinny. The round trip to the forestry road from the Carrick Farm takes 1 3/4 hours. There is also another walk just outside Carrick Castle on the road to Lochgoilhead about 2 1/4 miles away. This Forestry Commission walk has it's own website at Cormonachan Woodlands. Both boat fishing and beach casting are also very popular activities in Carrick Castle Fishing is FREE. Boats can be hired nearby. Kayaking, sailing and other water sports are also popular. In Lochgoilhead Village, 5 miles away has a friendly Post Office +Shop. There is a church, a village hall and a doctor’s surgery. Bowling, Tennis & Multi Courts are open to visitors (honesty box). There are 2 public houses. The Shore House Inn and The Goil Inn both serve meals as well as drinks. Visit the Shore House for a restaurant experience and take-out pizza (Friday night is Music Night in the bar). The Goil Inn for more traditional pup grub. Local businesses offer bike hire and boat hire. Argyll Voyageur Canoes offer tours. The near by Drimsynie Estate Leisure Centre has 25 meter pool sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi . A 9-hole golf course split into two parks accessed via a footbridge over the River Goil. Crazy Golf & Outdoor playground. Indoor bowls 3-rinks of indoor carpet bowls. Drimsynie Estate also has a small Costcutter supermarket (Off-license incuded). There are a number of books about local history available, including ‘Loch Goil – A slice out of paradise’ (the name is a quote from the famous mountaineer WH Murray), ‘Loch Goil – looking back’ by Iain Smart and Rod/Tricia Philips, and ‘The Lochgoil and Lochlong Steamboat Company’ by Iain Smart. These are available for purchase in the Post Office. --------------- Boat Hire - Loch Goil Cruisers | Ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) The Boat Yard is on the road between Carrick Castle and Lochgoilhead. They operate a fleet of modern boats with an internal diesel engine, wheel steering for easy handling, half cover for shelter and seating for up to ten people. We recommend a maximum number of eight for comfort. Their boats are perfect for enjoying the stunning scenery, diverse wildlife, picnicking and fishing. There are ducks, gannets, cormorants, oystercatchers, herons and porpoises in the loch and deer on the hills. Don't forget to ask the Instructor where you can find the seals. Half or full day hire. The boats are popular so it is recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Boat Hire - D.M. Auto Marine - Ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Boat hire from Lochgoilhead village jetty, available April to the end of October. Choice of 16' or 19' foot boats with outboards taking 4 to 6 people. There is a tackle shop with a limited range of bait and equipment. Half or full day hires. A popular choice for fishermen. Fishing Fishing on the loch or from the shore is FREE. Loch Goil is a tidal sea loch. Chance of catching mackerel, pollock, sea trout or even a salmon. Permits are available at Lochgoilhead Post Office for fishing the River Goil. Best only when there has been some rain. Daily permit £15. For the hardy hill walker there are two hill lochans to the east of Loch Goil. Quite a hike to get to them but they are in a wonderful setting. Argyll Bike Hire | Phone Matt on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)sed at Drimsynie, Argyll Bike Hire offers a Delivery & Collection service to holiday homes in the area. Cycling around the head of the loch is a pleasure. Lots of places to stop by the loch side as well as some ideal picnic spots. Although you are on single-track roads traffic is light so you often see families out on their bikes. Matt offers a range of bikes for the whole family including: Mountain bikes, BMX, Hybrid, All sizes and Accessories. Helmets provided. You can hire for a half day, full day, weekend or full week. Bowling, Tennis & Multi Court | Lochgoilhead Village Hall. In Lochgoilhead Village there is a multi-court open to visitors. The court has goals for a kick-around game of football as well as markings and a net for tennis. You may have to erect the net depending on when it was last used. Bring your own racquets and balls. You can pre-book the tennis court in the diary in the office next to the court. By the multi-court is the outdoor bowling green. Open April to September. Bowls and shoes are at the entrance to the bowling club. In both cases payment is made into the honesty boxes provided. The Lochgoilhead Centre The Lochgoilhead Centre introduces youngsters and adults to outdoor adventures. Making full use of the hills and rivers above the village, the space within the centre and the loch on its doorstep, the staff welcomes guests staying in the area that would like to join in their activities. There is no set schedule as what is on offer is subject to availability depending on what groups are staying at the time. Contact the reception in advance, or call when you are in the area and see what is planned.   • Vonna & Jay var dejlige værter. Hver gang vi så dem de var smilende og klar til at hjælpe os med noget. Vi følte meget velkommen, og selvom Airbnb er ved siden af deres hus, vi følte uafhængige. Huset var ren, hyggelig og funktionel. Bruseren fungerede perfekt (som er en mn vigtigste for os). Så gjorde varmelegeme. Vi fik der sent, og de havde ikke et problem med det. Vi lader bare dem vide, og de fik os så munter som nogensinde. Stedet er fantastisk, det er bare en lidt vanskelig at komme dertil. Et øjeblik, vi troede, vi gjorde en forkert drejning, fordi det er bare en lille vej mellem bjergene.   • Vi har haft vores ophold på Carrick Farm meget. Vi opholdt sig i 3 nætter og var 3 personer og den mobile home var perfekt størrelse for os. Jay hilste os venligt med ordene: "Velkommen i thje midt i himlen" hvilket er sandt, men gider ikke os overhovedet. Vi gjorde en tur gennem bjergene og nød udsigten over Loch Goil. Der var ikke tid nok til at dicover alle possibilitys at dette dejlige sted besidder, men vi faldt i kærlighed med det, vi allerede har set. Vonna og Jay var meget venlige værter. Jay var så ophidset at vise os farmen især hans favorit gås Gwendoline. Vi fik lov til at fodre dyrene og spillede med gårdhund Misty. Alt i alt vi elskede ophold i Carrick, især når vejret er så godt, som vi fandt det.

    A cosy and bright one bedroom flat in a small seaside village on Isle Of Bute. Our place is a Scottish island rural getaway (but just an over an hours travel time from Glasgow) which is right on the beach with woodburning stove, good views, great walks, and near to local points of interest such as Mount Stuart House.
    Our little one bed place in secluded Kilchattan Bay on the Isle of Bute is clean, quiet and bright. There's a wood burning stove in the living room from which there's views over the well-kept front garden (which is shared with the other flats in the block), a church and the sea. We have a large TV and DVD player, and feel free to read the books on the shelf. There is broadband, with free access for guests. Kitchen includes everything you need for cooking (inc microwave/hob/oven) and a washing machine. Please note the large fridge in the picture has been replaced with an ordinary domestic fridge! The one bedroom is small, with a double bed and storage for clothes, and partial sea views. There's a shower room, and outside there's a shed with log storage. The flat is right next to the local post office/shop, and there's a pub half a mile walk up the road which serves good food. There are regular bus services to Rothesay (10 miles) and the rest of the island. But the best thing about Kilchattan Bay and the reason to come here is the peace and quiet and the beautiful scenery. Easy access to beautiful beaches, walks along the coastline, cycles round and off the island. HOW TO GET HERE: CalMac Ferry from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay (19 sailings daily). Regular buses from Rothesay to Kilchattan Bay (it's a 7 mile distance). There is also a taxi stand at the ferry port in Rothesay, or you can hire bikes from next to the taxi stand (opening hours for bike hire is 9 till 5 though).

Vi slog meget heldige med en blisterende varm uge så nød mange strandvandringer og spiser ud på de mange udendørs bænke langs bugten. Nice comfy seng også. Den lokale folkemusik var så venlige og hjælpsomme. Dont forsink bogen i dag !!

  • Vi havde et godt ophold på denne smukke lejlighed - alt vi havde brug for at føle sig som hjemme. Der var masser af parkeringspladser på gaden og huset var fyldt med alle slags mad, ekstra håndklæder og trusser. Vi kunne gøre middag på en aften meget let med en kort tur til Tesco, som er lige rundt om hjørnet. Oban er en dejlig lille by - alt var walkable, herunder restauranter, boutique shopping, barer og caféer. Selve stedet er varmt og hyggeligt; Vi havde et perfekt ophold og ville elske at vende tilbage en dag.

Apartment is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and families with the children. It has a balcony for you to enjoy our famous sunsets and a views of Arran and the Firth of Clyde.

    The Ardview Flat is a hidden gem situated in the village of Port Ellen. It is in walking distance of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries. Situated near the village pub (Ardview Inn) where locals will greet any guests.
    The flat is self-catering so can be used like you're own home.
    Port Ellen is a lovely, friendly village. There are views from the flat over the bay. There are local shops and restaurants, however they close earlier in the winter months.

  • Vores ophold i Yvonnes lejlighed i Port Ellen var dejlige. Yvonne mødte os tidligt, så vi kunne forlade vores poser efter komme morgen færgen trods check i ikke at være indtil senere på eftermiddagen. Yvonne var også forbløffende nok til at tillade os at flytte vores date tilbage en dag på grund af vores manglende evne til at komme på øen på tidligere arrangeret dato. Lejligheden var varmt og hyggeligt og lige i hjertet af Port Ellen med et postkontor og en Co-op meget tæt med Yvonnes pub direkte nabo - men vi aldrig fundet det højt til enhver tid. Vi var inden for 6 km fra Laphroaig, Lagavulin og Ardbeg med en ny sti forbinder alle tre til Port Ellen gør det let gåafstand. Der er også en lokal bus, som du kan fange, der falder du på de andre destillerier på øen. Det bedste ved at komme i januar, var, at det var stille, og mange af de ture var lille og intim.     Uppa Close is accessible by public transport, but it is better to have a car, as restaurants and attractions are a short distance away. It's perfect for two people, but can accommodate another two on a sofa bed in the living room. It is a ten minute drive from Loch Lomond, twenty minute drive from Glasgow Airport, and a forty minute drive from Glasgow city centre.
    Uppa Close is a one bedroom first-floor flat in a refurbished 1950s tenement block. It sits on its own dead-end street adjacent to the main road, with open aspects to the front and rear. Free parking is usually available directly across the road from the flat - you will certainly get a space nearby. Uppa Close is in a residential area, with no pubs or restaurants nearby - but a short drive or bus journey, or two stops on the train, takes you to the heart of Balloch and its nightlife. The bedroom has two single beds. The living room has a metal frame pull out sofa bed, which is fine for two light adults. The flat has gas central heating throughout. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave oven and toaster. There is no washing machine, but you can do a hand wash in the sink, and an airing rack is provided. You may also hang your washing on the communal clothes line in the back yard, at your own risk. Uppa Close has a small tv, wifi, and dvd player. There is a selection of dvds, books and board games. We aim to meet your basic accommodation needs in a comfortable and eco-friendly way, from pre-loved furniture to recycled toilet paper to a completely green energy supplier. We have a social media page (not the tweeting one, the other one!) which often has useful information about the area. Feel free to contribute to it. As a visitor, you might have holiday tips which us locals miss - drop in and share your expertise! (I'm not allowed to post web links, but if you search for Uppa Close you'll find us.)
    There is a small supermarket about a five minute walk from the flat (go left along the main road). Alexandria has a small Co-op and a good Aldi. Balloch has a larger Co-op. St James Retail Park in Dumbarton offers a Morrisons, a 24-hour Asda and an M&S Food shop. There are no pubs or clubs in the immediate vicinity, but both Balloch and Dumbarton are a very short train or bus journey away. Renton Station is home to the Robert the Bruce Heritage Centre. Scotland's great medieval king retired to what is now Renton - he lived out his life in a mansion on the banks of the river Leven. After his death, his heart was famously taken on crusade, and his body is buried in Dunfermline Abbey. But not many folk know that the Bruce's entrails and breastbone were buried in St Serfs Chapel in nearby Dumbarton. This town - the ancient capital of Strathclyde - is 3 miles away, and its castle, perched high on Dumbarton Rock, is well worth a visit. For those with a nautical interest, the Denny Tank Museum concentrates on the history of Clyde shipbuilding. The tank in this instance is the world's first commercial ship model experiment tank. The famous Cutty Sark tea clipper ship, now on display in London, was built in Dumbarton in 1869. 2.5 miles from the flat in the opposite direction takes you to Balloch, and Lomond Shores - the shopping centre and visitor gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Explore the aquarium, hire a canoe or visit the Maid of the Loch - the historic paddle steamer undergoing restoration, and aiming for a return to full cruising ability. Take a cruise on one of the modern boats, or get the water bus to a destination further up the lochside. If water isn't your thing, take a stroll round Balloch Country Park. Helensburgh sits on the Clyde 8 miles from Renton. Stroll along its seafront, or visit the Hill House, designed by everyone's favourite Scottish architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Catch the Waverley paddle steamer at Helensburgh pier for a return trip 'doon the watter'. Visit the Tower Digital Arts Centre, Helensburgh's independent cinema. Or sit in a cafe in Helensburgh's newly refurbished Colquhoun Square and watch the world go by. For hillwalkers, there is something suitable for all abilities. The National Park is home to 21 munros, many of which are within a one hour drive from the flat. Ben Lomond, our most southerly munro, is a 45 minute drive away and is a relatively straightforward ascent. Or challenge yourself with the twin beasts of Ben More and Stob Binnein, looming above Crianlarich. If you'd prefer a shorter day, the Luss Hills are worth a visit. Steep grassy slopes give way to great views at the summits, and there's a good chance you'll have the hills to yourself. Conic Hill, above Balmaha, is a short sharp shock with tremendous views of Loch Lomond. It's a very popular walk, and there's an ice cream shop (and a pub/restaurant) in Balmaha for when you get back down!

Vi blev behageligt overrasket over friske blomster, mælk i køleskabet og masser af te og kaffe tilgængelig i lejligheden, og det var godt udstyret med madlavningsudstyr til self catering.   • Fremragende lille studie, perfekt til en weekendferie! Studiet ligger få minutters gang fra byens centrum og har nem parkering. Studio var let at finde, og indtjekning var superenkelt. Der var masser af tankevækkende røre som te & kaffe, håndklæder, toiletartikler osv. Og studiet var ryddig. Det eneste lille negative punkt er den flade lugt af røg, jeg mener, at dette kommer fra andre lejligheder i bygningen, så der ikke kan gøres meget ved det. Jeg vil bestemt anbefale denne lejlighed og ville elske at bo igen.

Hvad der er mere fascinerende er tilgængeligheden af LIDL, TESCO, ALDI og M&S madhall bogstaveligt talt 300-500 skridt væk. Gør en enorm forskel. Dejligt afslappende sted.     The flat has recently been decorated with bright and neutral tones to give a bright and airy feel. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, dressing table and hanging rail for your clothes. The living, dining kitchen has been designed to allow you to cook, dine and relax in one communal space and has access to Free Wifi, a 43 inch smart tv where guests can use BBC iPlayer and other internet enabled services a sofa bed with king size mattress topper for additional comfort and an extendable dining table can sit up to four people. The kitchen includes a fridge with icebox, oven, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and microwave oven. The flat also has a washer dryer available to use, stored in the utility cupboard for ease of use. The shower room contains a large walk in shower, with access to shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The flat is situated within the heart of Helensburgh. It sits above a beautiful flower shop and lies along from the well loved Ginger Bread man who has recently moved into the block. If the freshly baked bread is not enough to tempt you in, their sausage rolls and home baked cakes are a real treat!
    The flat is positioned above a lovely flower shop which constantly wows with unusual window displays. It also sits above the attic a shop full of antiques and nick knacks. It has views of a church and Colquhoun square and is approx 500m from the waterfront where, in the summer there is a real seaside town buzz with places to sit, eat and areas to walk.

Oban is a perfect town for a couple of days stay with lots to do or just to relax and enjoy the seafood, sunsets and whisky. CORONAVIRUS: preparation for our guests includes a full anti-bacterial deep clean regime for their safety.
    The Distiller's Den is hidden away at the top of a Victorian building 30m from the main street in Oban. The apartment is compact and tasteful, like a good single malt! High speed WIFI is available throughout, the kitchen is fully equipped and all the linen is 100% cotton with extra blankets should you need them. Access is via two short flights of stairs and there is parking outside the Den on a meter or free parking just up the road. Hopefully we have thought of everything you may need in a ‘home from home’.
    The Distiller's Den is located right in the heart of Oban one street away from the Oban Distillery and the seafront.     Compact but very cosy modern apartment within an end of a hillside cul-de-sac in Gourock with spectacular sweeping views over Firth of Clyde, Loch Long, Holy Loch and mountains of Argyll. Very quiet. Bedrooms face the rear of the building where the countryside wilderness starts and the only night time disturbance is likely to be the slight noise of an odd deer venturing into the garden grounds.
    Please note that own transport is advisable. Although there is a public bus service at the main road at the bottom of the hill, some walking uphill from the bus is needed, which might be not suitable for young children and/or frail people. Discounted taxi service with a licensed Inverclyde taxi operator/driver could be arranged on request. The primary maximum amount of guests is four persons. However, a fifth person could be accommodated on a folding bed in the lounge, if required. I do believe in maintaining a healthy environment in the flat and keep the number of soft furnishings to a bare necessary minimum. It means no carpet floor coverings, etc., but it helps to keep dust levels as low as possible.
    Inverclyde with its principal towns of Greenock and Gourock boasts plenty of scenic places with spectacular views over water and mountains. Within walking distance from the apartment, there is Gourock-Dunoon ferry offering the fastest route to Argyll from Inverclyde. From Dunoon it is possible to explore the unspoilt mountainous scenery with empty roads of the Cowal peninsula and further afield into Argyll and Highlands proper. A few miles south at Wemyss Bay, there is the ferry linking the mainland with the Isle of Bute. For city lovers, Glasgow with its endless possibilities for shopping, culture and nightlife is only 30 miles to the east.

Situated very centrally we are walking distance to main amenities, free street parking and great views. Ideal for families, the two adjoining bedrooms can be supplemented by a cot or extra bed if requested.
    Ideal for couples or families there is a spacious living/dining room, kitchen and shower room. There are two adjoining bedrooms (the double bedroom is accessed by walking through the twin room). We hope to have provided all you could need for comfort whilst you visit. Wifi, 40" HD TV, DVDs, board games, PS3 and books as well as a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Street parking in the vicinity of the flat is free. A starter pack of breakfast items will be provided. With a fantastic central location, the flat is walking distance to Oban's main amenities including shops, cafes, restaurants, ferry terminal, train/bus stations and leisure centre. The flat is situated at the garden level of the property (the upper two floors of the house are occupied by the host&family). Being built on the hill, it may be useful to note the apartment is accessed by a number of steps and some of the roads/paths leading to the surrounding area are steep.
    Elevated on the hill just below McCaigs tower, the flat has beautiful views of Oban Bay and it's glorious summer sunsets.
  • Vi er en familie på fire (to børn i alderen 4 og 1), der ønskede et sted varmt, rummeligt og centralt for et par dage i Oban. Emilys sted overgik helt vores forventninger. Visningerne, renlighed, hygge og rummelighed var alle fremragende. Vores børn følte øjeblikkeligt hjemme, og på trods af at man var omhyggeligt vedligeholdt, følte huset stadig "hjemlig" og vi følte os virkelig afslappet. Gåtur til byen er stejl, men vi lykkedes det og er en temmelig uegnet flok haha. Vi skiftede skubbe vognen tilbage op ad bakken ... hård men ikke umulig. Støj fra familien ovenpå var minimal, og selvom vi ikke mødte Emily svarede hun virkelig hurtigt på vores spørgsmål om Netflix-konti mv.   • Vi elskede varmen på lejligheden, det er nyrenoveret, fremragende bruser. 2. soveværelse gardin var ikke et problem. Vi havde 2 håndklæder hver, masser bekvemmeligheder plus brød smør og marmelade ud over de sædvanlige faciliteter i køkkenet. Fra alle værelser er bare fantastisk. Fremragende ophold vi stærkt anbefale Emilys sted.

    The Turret is located in a spectacular coastal setting on the outskirts of Oban on the west coast of Scotland. Oban is centred on a sheltered bay, busy with ferries and fishing boats, overlooked by the distinctive McCaig's tower on top of the hill. The town is billed as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, and boasts a number of award-winning restaurants, as well as pierside seafood stalls and excellent fish and chip shops.

    The Cairns is situated 4 miles north of Oban at North Connel beside the shore of Loch Etive. A stylish first floor apartment with captivating view across the loch to Connel Bridge. Wifi, Smart TV, selection of DVDs. King size bed, en-suite shower room and complimentary toiletries. Welcome hamper. Two pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Great parking. Ground floor indoor bicycle storage area.
    One quiet double en-suite bedroom with good quality bed linen and large soft towels. Open plan kitchen/dining room/living room with Juliet balcony. The kitchen is part of a light, open-plan room with breakfast bar, dining table, 2 sofas and 2 armchairs by the the balcony doors to make the most of spectacular view and spot the seals. Very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Second bathroom with bath and shower.
    Quiet residential apartment block with easy parking. Perfect base for day trips north to Glencoe and Ben Nevis, taking the ferry from Oban to Mull and Iona. Wonderful walks on nearby Ben Lora, the island of Kerrera and Tralee beach. Within easy driving distance of Oban distillery, Cruachan hydro power station, the picturesque town of Inveraray, Dunstaffnage and Dunollie castles and the shops of Oban and Fort William. The Oyster Inn and Lochnell Arms are a short walk away by the bridge serving evening meals. For excellent local beef we recommend The Old Inn at Appin (booking advisable) or for fish The Waterfront restaurant in Oban. C Fish and chips at Tralee bay Wed-Sat in season. For lunch nearby Poppies garden centre serves great homemade soup and baking. The haggis toastie at The Kettle cafe at Dunollie is highly recommended as are the scones at Ben Lora Cafe in Benderloch ( a lovely walk along the cycle path). The Oban Chocolate shop is very popular for coffee, hot chocolate and waffles.

    Dunarden is a cosy studio annex adjoined to the owner's home, the annex has its own separate entrance and off road undercover parking. The bright and welcoming space features a small kitchen equipped for all your basic cooking needs. The bedroom has a built in double wardrobe, a cosy double bed, flat screen TV with Sky and WIFI. The bathroom consists of WC, shower and sink. Double doors from the bedroom leads onto a private patio with stunning views over Loch Long and surrounding mountains.
    To the rear of the property is a conservation woodland area that guest are free to explore . Dunarden is in a quiet and peaceful location in the village of Cove. This is ideal base for 1 or 2 guests to explore nearby Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland.

    The Dovecote is a romantic self contained holiday apartment on the south side of Calgary Self-catering. Charmingly converted from an original Dovecote, this apartment retains many original features, including the original pigeon holes featured in the walls.

  • Dovecote er sådan et smukt lille sted at bo. Virkelig pænt dekoreret, dejlig log brand og masser af nice gåture i nærheden. Den smukke Calgary-strand er lidt over 5 min. Gåtur væk. Kan ikke anbefale det nok.
