Park
“Just a 2 block walk, this park hosts the capitol and other municipal buildings. The history museum is nearby and there is an Ai Wei Wei outdoor exhibit of the Chinese zodiacs. I will also mention that there are a lot of homeless people here. If that makes you uncomfortable, I recommend you skip this park. That being said, I stroll there often (as a fan of Ai Wei Wei and local activist efforts) and I've never encountered an experience that felt unsafe or threatening. ”

Park
“It’s the first homestead in Denver, located exactly four miles from LoDo (lower downtown). If I recall correctly, it was established in 1856, and it remains in its original state, has been made into a museum and interactive exhibit. You can harken back to wagon-trail times and churn butter, feel the weight of a real wagon wheel, and pretend to sleep under the stars like the pioneers did (minus the typhoid fever, measles, tuberculosis and five months of not washing oneself). ”

“Right around the corner. Chill, pretty and clean. A relatively unknown jewel in Denver's Park system. well-kept, quiet, safe, clean with beautiful formal gardens along Speer Blvd. One of Denver's oldest parks. “Here is a gem hidden in the booming city of Denver. Best of all it is only two blocks from the spot. This makes this a prime destination if you need to get out and clear your mind or you require that morning jog or if you have furry friends!”
