“Housed in a hulk of a building (originally a pumping station) on the busy traffic artery of Avenida del Libertador, the National Museum of Fine Arts is a vast treasury of Argentinian and Latin American art and painting from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as one of the most important in Latin America. In the dozens of rooms you'll find heavyweight Argentinian artists. Although the emphasis here is on Latin American art, you'll also find important collections of European art and a smattering of American and Asian art. From Tuesday to Friday, 12:30pm to 8:30pm Saturday & Sunday, 9:30am to 8:30pm”

“The Museum of Memory and Human Rights is a must for us. The Museum shows with great beauty and interactively an essential and painful part of the recent history of Chile. You can see the rise of the UP (Unidad Popular) and the mystique that accompanied it, the government of Salvador Allende, the 1973 coup, the Pinochet dictatorship, and its terrible consequences. If you want to see the Museum well, dedicate it at least 4 hours. Right in front of the Museum, you will find the Quinta Normal Park, a beautiful place full of green where there are always activities, in addition to several other museums and a lagoon where you can ride a boat.
