Location, location, location:
We have converted our second story office into a single spacious suite, a downtown pied a terre. The elements we sought in our office - high ceilings, plenty of windows and light, walking distance all of downtown translates to amenities for our guests. You are just a two minute walk to all the excitement, food, shopping, bars, entertainment, parks, library that Downtown Bozeman has to offer. On the ground floor the garage bays are storage for our long-term tenants in the front house and are separated from the bedroom suite.

Enjoy the amenities of a large hotel suite (450 square feet) with:
Oak Frame King Bed
Restoration Hardware Day/Trundle Bed with two twin beds
Full bathroom with tub/shower
Sitting area with couch
Dining table for four
Walk in closet and dresser
Desk with high speed internet/wi-fi,

NOTE: There is NO KITCHEN but there is a preparation counter with:
Microwave
Keurig coffee maker
Toaster
Water Cooler

But who wants to cook when the best meals Bozeman has to offer are a short walk or a phone-ordered delivery away? Bozeman cuisine ranges from casual, organic fast food to high end dining, food trucks, street vendors and everything in between.

Just off the downstairs entry you have oodles of room to store bikes, skis, luggage. Ask us about rental bikes from the Bike Kitchen. Snowy or wet out? Leave your shoes on the handy boot dryer.

Off street Parking: Parking downtown in Bozeman can be tough, it reflects the vibrancy of the place. You'll have a dedicated parking spot just steps from your front door, off street.

Skiers: It's a three block walk to the Streamline Bus which runs (for FREE) to Bridger Bowl on Saturdays and Sundays.

You have the entire building to yourself. The lower floor has two garage bays which are completely separate from your space and only used for storage for our long term renters in the front house. Your parking space is set back off the street for security.

About Parking. Your spot is next to (paralleling) the garage bay doors (see pictures). Park to the LEFT of the vertical reflective stripe on the fence. Pull ALL THE WAY FORWARD until you "bump" the red reflector. That means you are close enough to not block the full time tenants.

1. This is the "Entire Place" but does NOT have a kitchen (no kitchen sink or range). Who needs to cook when you'll spend more time deciding where to eat than you'll spend walking to the restaurant? There's also a wide range of take out and delivery food options. We suggest you have your first breakfast at the venerable and revered Western Cafe, about as authentic as it gets for Montana dining. Wander down to Ted's for a bison burger for lunch, Open Range or Fin for dinner. Late night tacos at the Lark's taco trailer.
2: Bozeman is struggling with the impact of new short term rentals like Airbnb on long term housing availability for residents and impact on neighborhoods. If you are concerned about those issues, you should know that we are B-3 zoned, a designation which specifically encourages short term rentals like Airbnb. Our property insurance covers use of the property for short term rental.
3: If your expectations meet what we offer, we'll both be happy. We do not provide mints on the pillows, fresh cut flowers, plush bathrobes or a cold bottle of champagne in the fridge. Sorry. We do have 100% cotton sheets, large, fluffy new towels, quality, comfortable furniture and a very functional and comfortable space. We eschew the use of artificial air fresheners, Fabreze, etc. and strive to provide sustainable supplies within reason.
4: We do not allow pets in order to insure a welcoming environment for those with allergies.
5. We do not have full curtains on all the windows so it is not possible to fully darken the suite. There are sleep masks in the bedside tables or bring your own if you are especially light sensitive.

The main house was built in 1880 and remodeled extensively in 2003. Your suite was new construction in 2003. Originally the site of one of Bozeman's blacksmith shops, the property is in the historic district just one block from Main street. The location offers a perfect balance of proximity and privacy. Just far enough off of Main for tranquility but only a minute or two walk to the heart of Downtown. Go for breakfast at family oriented Overeasy or the hip Nova Cafe. Or show up early for biscuits and gravy at the Western Cafe where ranchers, bankers and everyone in between have met over coffee for generations.

In our 60's, my wife Linda and I both retired recently from 45 year-long careers in outdoor pursuits and adventure travel. From 1975 to 2015 we organized and led educational and adventure travel to Baja California (whale watching, sea kayaking, natural history) China, Tibet, Argentina, Mongolia, Uruguay, the 'Stans (horseback travel, cultural travel). Looking forward to traveling together and enjoying the reason we chose a career in challenging travel.. meeting people and understanding cultures. We pay our cleaners more than $20 per hour.
