This Epic View (not so tiny) tiny house is truly a soul nourishing place. From its large expanse of south facing windows you can soak in the views of Kooteney lake and then enjoy the covered private deck with an outdoor bathtub! It has all the amenities to make a perfect retreat space including a Bose sound system, movie projector and yoga mat. From a comfy bed to artistic decor and a fully equipped kitchen, you are sure to want to stay for ever.

Boligen
The tiny house has a main floor space of 10x28ft=280 sq ft with maple hardwood floor as well as an upstairs loft that has standing room and is another 110sq feet. Upstairs you can enjoy an in-house movie experience with the high end projector (benQ) that casts onto the loft wall. Downstairs there is also a Bose speaker and mini sub for your audio pleasure.
The outdoor covered deck with a BBQ and a comfortable outdoor lounge is private and spacious. There is a small grassy yard that is shared just beyond the deck (I have a raspberry and strawberry patch there). You can swing in the hammock during the warmer parts of the year or sit in the shade under the canopy of trees.

The kitchen has everything you need to make some amazing food. The kitchen is equipped with granite counter tops, a Ninja blender, french press or stove top espresso maker, coffee grinder and toaster,popcorn maker as well as all the good knives and cutting boards you would ever need. The water here is from an artisian well and is extremely delicious, no need to bring bottled water.

The bathroom has in-floor heating, a lovely rain head shower and a composting toilet that is very user friendly and is odour free.
Enjoy an epsom salt or bubble bath in the outside bathtub sunken into the deck and enjoy the birds and eagles that call this mountain side home.
The mahogany dining table swings out to seat 4 people if you want to have a few friends over for dinner or a visit.
The temperature is regulated by a Daikin mini split heat pump. This is both an air conditioner and heater.
The driveway is steep and requires 4WD to drive to the doorstep and in the winter months this is a requirement to book. Depending on the amount of snow, in the winter you will most likely have to park at the parking lot, 50m below the yurt, and walk up the driveway. It can get slippery at times depending on the snow quality so wear some good boots and we will
have some traction aids (yak tracks or chains for your shoes) to put on your shoes to borrow if needed.
If you have 2WD then don’t fret because from April til November you can park below and walk the 50 m to the tiny house.

Our tiny house is located just 15 minutes from the bustling town of historic Nelson. We are on the north shore and a short 2 minute drive from the very incredible Kokanee Creek Park which has forest walks, long sandy beaches, a creek and large playing fields with 2 playgrounds.
We are also 25 minutes from the healing waters of Ainsworth hot springs.

I love the outdoors and spend as much time outside either hiking, biking, canoeing and gardening. I also love good music, dancing, yoga, and making good healthy food and having silly fun with my 3 kids.
When you come stay in our yurt, house or tiny house, you are staying in a place that we built and call home at times. I still do miss the coziness that the yurt offers but love the expansiveness and views from the house and now am very proud of building the tiny house.
I hope you will come and enjoy it like your own retreat into wellness.
