Evergreen Hill is a cheery cedar cape nestled on a half acre of balsam, spruce, and native blueberry. This 3 bedroom/2 bath Southwest Harbor home is on Mount Desert Island's "Quietside." Hike Acadia National Park, kayak the ponds, visit Bar Harbor, or golf at the nearby Causeway Club. At day's end, throw a frisbee in the fenced backyard with your dog while you grill on the deck, watch the brilliant sunset colors through the trees on the front porch, stream your favorite shows on a 55" HD TV.

Boligen
For the past twenty years Evergreen Hill has been filled with friends and friends and family year round on Mount Desert Island. The house is a fun vacation getaway with three bright and airy bedrooms. The master bedroom and private bath are located on the main floor along with a recently renovated kitchen that allows several cooks to share counter space. The adjoining living room has a large picture window with a peaceful view of native blueberry plants and evergreen trees.🌲

There are two bedrooms and a bath with a shower upstairs. Everyone loves the restful sleep these rooms provide, with cross breezes blowing through the windows at night. Our guests love reading and working in the cozy dormer spaces. 📚

The backyard has a fenced yard for the family dog and there is a deck with a grill and picnic table. The front porch is great for reading or relaxing after dinner. If you’re here during blueberry season in July, be sure to pick some for pancakes! 🫐

Meals have always been the heart of our home, and we renovated the kitchen to allow cooks to gather comfortably to create memorable meals. There is a good selection of pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, and a lobster pot. 🦞

Beliggenhed

Southwest Harbor, Maine, USA

The home is in quiet, family neighborhood, set back from the road atop a slight hill for privacy with a fenced yard for dogs. Surrounded by fragrant evergreens, a surprise path through the woods leads you to the Food Mart, a fully stocked grocery with spirits.

If you like to hike, Acadia National Park's shortest peak, Flying Mountain at 284 feet, is around the corner with sweeping views of Somes Sound, Northeast Harbor, and the Cranberry Islands.

If you like walking or running, the house is a mile over the Causeway into the quaint town of Southwest Harbor. Be sure to look for crabs and starfish as you cross the bridge, and get ready to take some amazing photos on the way.

Less than a mile away is Echo Lake, which offers some of the best swimming on the island and is a favorite beach of families with children. You can hike there too, with vertical trails that have metal rungs. Nearby Long Pond and Ike's Point both offer kayaking through Acadia National Park's glacially majestic mountains.

Cadillac Mountain in Bar Harbor is less than half an hour away on Acadia National Park's 27 mile Park Loop Road. Standing proudly at 1,530 feet, it is the first place the sun comes up every day in the US from October through March, and is the highest peak on the eastern seaboard from here to Rio de Janeiro. The Loop Road takes you to Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and The Jordan Pond House, where the tradition of popovers and tea is still offered since it was first introduced in 1920 to the Rusticators, the original tourists of Mount Desert Island.
