The Andrew Jackson Hotel has a history unlike any other hotel in the city and was erected in the location of the US Federal courthouse where General Andrew Jackson was indicted for contempt of court shortly after he and his troops defeated the British in the Battle of New Orleans . The hotel is said to be haunted by several friendly spirits, including five young boys and even Andrew Jackson himself.
