A one bedroom ground floor Victorian Apartment conversion with a huge bay window over-looking the mouth of the Mawddach estuary and a Terrace to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the view.
Everything is close by so you won't need the car. The beach is just a 7 minute walk across the park and the town is a 5 minute walk to all the shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs that Barmouth has to offer.

As a dog owner I'm quite happy for you to bring 1 or 2 well-behaved dogs - Barmouth is very dog friendly.

Boligen
The flat has a spacious lounge diner, double bedroom, kitchen and shower room. There is a Terrace at the front with table, chairs and parasol to have a glass of wine and a barbecue whilst enjoying the sea view and a small, shaded private courtyard at the rear ideal to get out of the sun, park your bike or let the dog out.
There is also a private rear entrance to the flat if you prefer not to use the communal one at the front. Hand sanitiser is available in the communal hallway and outside the front door.

Gæsteadgang
The flat and rear courtyard is all private, there's a laundry room off the communal hallway and the Terrace at the front is shared with the flat above. There is separate garden furniture for each flat and it's laid out under social distancing guidelines. There's a bench to sit out at in front of the bay window which is private for the flat occupants use only.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
The sloping drive is short but quite steep in one section so may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

As a dog owner I'm quite happy for you to bring 1 or 2 well-behaved dogs - Barmouth is very dog friendly with most cafes, pubs and shops welcoming dogs.

Covid 19
I have always ensured the flat is kept spotless as you'll see from my reviews. Under the current guidance the flat now undergoes additional sanitising between guests carried out by professional cleaners with care home experience. All duvets, pillows and their protectors are now rotated between guests as are the scatter cushions and woollen throws in the lounge. The sofa seat and back cushions are sanitised and rotated between guests.

For the safety of our cleaners, we ask that when you check out, you open the windows to air the flat thoroughly and strip the linen from your bed and leave it in the duvet bag provided for washing. Thanks very much!

Beliggenhed

Barmouth, Gwynedd, Storbritannien

Barmouth is a beautiful part of Snowdonia to visit. The terrace is in a quiet part of town over-looking the park, tennis courts and bowling green, high above the road through Barmouth, but it's close enough to walk in to the shops, pubs and cafes etc.
In addition to the stunning beach and harbour there's a great selection of independent shops including a gorgeous furniture and homeware store as well as a co-op, spar and Iceland for food shopping which are just 5 minutes walk away.
Unless you want to head further afield you can park the car on arrival and forget about it until you leave if you want to.

Barmouth sits on a narrow strip of land between the mountains and the sea so there's loads to get outdoors for. There's mountain biking, walking and cycling all on the door step so let me know what you're into and I'll make some suggestions.

If you want to get out on the water when you're in Barmouth, try Stand Up Paddleboarding with SUP Barmouth. The waters here are perfect for it and the Mawddach estuary is number 2 on the Red Bull website - "Top 10 UK Paddleboard Adventures to tick off".

If you want to get up a mountain, Cadair Idris is a great alternative to Snowdon. It's much quieter and the views over the sea and Snowdonia are stunning. You can see the Wicklow mountains in Ireland on a clear day. There are other, less strenous walks all around barmouth, striaght out of the front door. There are maps, leaflets and books in the flat for lots of ideas.

If you're going out, you can't beat The Last Inn for food, good beer and atmosphere, Bistro Bermo (listed in the Michelin Good Food Guide) and the Bae Abermaw for an evening meal or Sunday lunch. Davy Jones' Locker for a coffee on the harbour, The Lobster Pot for breakfast and Isis for salads and pizza. Knickerbockers and Fudgeridoo are awesome for ice cream and everything chocolate. Goodies is a fantastic coffee shop that has a great breakfast and the most amazing home made cakes - look them up on Instagram!
Try the Min Y Mor for a beer garden right on the beach (just across the park from the flat) and the Celtic Cabin for gorgeous street food right on the promenade. If you just fancy fish and chips, the Mermaid is great or try the Harbour Fish Bar and eat them right next to the water in the garden opposite the Last Inn with a pint!

The restaurants often get fully booked at weekends and the summer months so do book in advance if you want to eat out.
If you find yourself out of luck at 8.30pm when most kitchens close, The Mermaid serve fish and chips until 9.00pm so eat them on the benches in the garden opposite the last inn with a pint and enjoy the stunning view of the harbour. The Indian restaurant, Saffron is another good late option. The food is great here and you can always get a takeaway and eat it back at the apartment if all else fails.

There's always a good night out in Barmouth whatever your tastes, the people who live and visit here are friendly and know how to enjoy themselves!
There's live music in The Last Inn every Tuesday (open mic) and Friday night and The Barmouth Hotel also has live music on regularly, check the board outside the pub for more details. The Min y Mor often have a band on outside in the beer garden during the summer.
If you're planning on a big Saturday night out, the Last Inn has a DJ from 10pm- 1am, The Barmouth Hotel also has a DJ and dance floor upstairs until 1.15am and we have North Wales' famous Nightclub, The Club (it's still The Sandancer to the locals but fortunately the sticky carpet went with the refurbishment) which is open until 3am. Please don't wake the neighbours on your way home ;-)

More Restaurants I'd recommend.
Nineteen57 - a short drive up the coast at Talybont
Norbar - the thin crust pizzas are great and a great terrace to watch the sun set
The Anchor - evening meals on the harbour
Min y Mor - Sunday lunch
Myrddins - quirky little restaurant with a micro brewery on site with great ale
The Bank - a great chef with an unusual menu. A treat.
Captain's Table - Spanish chef serving good food. The steaks are really good

I live in Barmouth and work away in Liverpool during the week. I have a motorhome that I stay in at weekends whenever I have a booking and I use it to explore the mountains and beaches up and down the coast.
Under dit ophold
In the week I'll usually be working away in Liverpool but contactable by phone or email. At weekends I'll be staying in my Campervan either in Barmouth or elsewhere. My parents live in Barmouth and look after my flat when I'm away and will be available if needed.
