YOU WOULD BE CRAZY TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE! Very comfy 2 BR 1 BA 2nd FLOOR private apartment in a vintage 1920's Southampton Brick 4 Unit Building Just Off of Historic Route 66! Fully equipped kitchen w Kuerig, Microwave, Stove, Fridge. 2 Comfy Queen beds, dressers, lamps & lots of closets. Nice bath w linens. Internet. Over 250 EATERIES w/i 2 Miles, Several w/i Steps! Minutes to Area Hospitals, Universities & Most Major Tourist Attractions!! HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!

You won't find a better location than this comfy fully furnished fully equipped 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in an historic 4 unit building right in the Heart of Southampton Neighborhood (known locally as SOHA) in the lively Macklind Avenue District. You will notice the really cool brick and tile architecture of this 1920's building as you enter your unit through the beautiful wood and glass entry door into a nice secured front hallway. As you enter the living room, you will notice the local St. Louis and Route 66 decor that frames the double reclining sofa and double reclining love seat, 40" internet connected smart TV with Roku, Netflix, Hulu, and other services. FREE High speed wifi is also available. The fully appointed eat-in kitchen offers a table and seating for 4 people, gas stove, fridge, walk-in pantry, toaster oven, Kuerig 2.0 (and complementary K-cup starter pack), basic spices, and all of the basics. Regular and adult beverages including local microbrews and wines are available for a nominal charge. There is a nice sized bath with tub/shower combo, vanity, hair dryer, linens and even soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are two separate bedrooms (one with firm and the other with plush mattresses, full linens, etc), alarm clocks, ceiling fans, room darkening shade, nice artwork, luggage valets, hangers, and dresser w mirror. There are additional closets. Work station/desk with high speed wireless internet. Full and FREE laundry available to guests. On and off street parking. Heat, AC, fans, extra blankets, iron with ironing board also provided. Secured front hallway. Access to the back yard plus some off-street parking. This space is beautiful and unique. We want this place to feel like home!

St. Louis is America's Biggest Small Town, and you are certain to notice how friendly people are here. We love Southampton (SOHA). This is a really cool very happening self contained neighborhood with almost every type of goods and services you might need, from grocery to pharmacy to banks to restaurants to car repair to big box retail. The architecture is mostly brick one and two story homes with lots of character, plus a number "ginger bread" bungalows, some scattered multi-family homes and condos, lots of parks and bike routes. The people here are from all walks of life. This neighborhood feels like home. Several times a year, there are festivals, special event and sponsored "runs" including Macklind Day Festival, where the street is blocked off and a one day festival of food, live music and booths takes over right outside the front door. Then there is the Annual Halloween Kids Fest less than a block away. Long and short of it...this neighborhood rocks!!

EDUCATION: There are over 30 colleges and universities here in Metro St. Louis, including Washington University, Wash U Medical, St. Louis University (SLU), SLU Medical, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), University of Missouri St Louis (UMSL), Webster University, Fontbonne University, Maryville University, St. Louis Community College, L'ecole Culinaire, just to name a few.

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: We have easy access to theFabulous Fox, the Muny in Forest Park, Peabody Opera House, and lots of local theater and performing arts (including a theater company less than 50 steps away). We have FREE summer concerts in most City and County Parks. There are literally hundreds of live music venues and concert locations every week including Verizon Ampitheater.

SPORTS: In for a sporting event or tournament, it is fast and easy to go Busch Stadium (the St. Louis Cardinals baseball), the Kiel (St Louis Blues hockey), the Chaifetz Arena (SLU college sports), the Soccer Park in Fenton and South County plus several minor league and amateur league sports. We have over a dozen high school sports event any given night plus special events like the Turkey Day rivalry between Kirkwood and Webster Groves.

HOSPITAL VISITS: God forbid, but if your stay is because a loved one is in the hospital, know that we have great access to Barnes/BJC, SLU Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, St. Antony's Hospital, St. Luke Hospital, St. John's Hospital, Missouri Baptist, just to name a few.

JUST PASSING THROUGH: St. Louis was just named one of the 50 Must See Destinations in the World. We are a 3+ Million Metro Area, with world class destinations, restaurants, outdoor recreation and so much more.

As part of that process, you will be required to complete a check in form upon arrival which acknowledges our "List of No's" and House Rules (copy provided en suite), as well as our no tolerance policy. We will verify a valid credit card (need not be the same card as used in the booking).
