We have a Victorian house built in 1856 on the cliffs of Exmoor. We are 100 metres from the sea but vertically. Our guest accommodation offers bed and breakfast and the choice of dinner and the sitting room or terrace are wonderful places to relax

The location is simply stunning, with wonderful views, in a quiet no-through road, only interrupted by sounds of the sea.

We offer the finest quality local organic and free-range food.

Vert'Or is a small, lovely room with views of the sea.

Boligen
Vert'Or is a lovely bedroom on the second floor and provides guests with a dual aspect so that you can see views over the sea to South Wales and the moor dipping to meet the sea at Countisbury Head. It has a comfortable, king sized double bed, made up with Egyptian cotton linen to ensure a good night’s sleep, an ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin.

Stripped pine floors covered with attractive rugs create a relaxed atmosphere. Decorated Provencal tiles in the bathroom give the room its name, which is picked up in other aspects of the room’s decoration. Guests benefit from facilities for making hot drinks, a TV with DVD player, wifi internet access and an alarm clock.

Apart from the quiet, the views, the homely feel, the friendly welcome, the access to walks and nature, for us food is a very important part of the North Walk House experience. We are passionate about it and, as we are members of Slow Food UK, we believe that food should taste good and be enjoyed; be produced in a way that respects the environment, human health and animal welfare; and that food producers are treated fairly. Accordingly your food will travel as little as possible to reach the dinner table at North Walk House, and seasonal foods will guide the menu choices on a monthly basis. We strive to obtain our Food direct from local farmers who provide organic or free range produce. We respect dietary needs and will spend time trying to ensure that all our guests get the food they want, prepared in the way that they like.

Our breakfast menu offers a wide range of delicious foods all prepared when you order on our lovely old Aga oven.

Dinner is available but we cook from fresh so if you would like dinner you need to let us know at least by the morning with your choices for the evening in order to allow us time to prepare. For our own sanity we need to take some evenings off each week, so the kitchen will generally be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, although dinner can be provided on other nights by special arrangement. We are licensed and you are welcome to enjoy a drink before-hand in our guest sitting room.

Please let us know before your arrival if you have any special dietary requirements.

You will sit around the large refectory style dining table, with sea views, and a log burning stove in winter. Seating aims to respect individual’s privacy while also allowing other guests to share conversation if you would like. To compliment the food we are licensed, allowing us to serve drinks and wine from our carefully selected wine list. Relax and enjoy the experience, candlelight and a little gentle music.

Gæsteadgang
Whatever the time of year or the weather, there is always plenty to occupy the interested visitor, much of it without using a car. The dramatic North Devon coastline where Exmoor meets the sea provides a host of opportunities: Lynton and Lynmouth linked by the famous Victorian Cliff Railway are just a short walk from North Walk House, as is the Valley of the Rocks.

The location is perfect for a walking holiday, but it is also a convenient base from which to explore the North Devon coastline and Exmoor with its rivers, moors, countryside and interesting little towns and villages. Discover North Walk House: its charm, relaxing atmosphere and stunning location.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
There are lovely pubs and great restaurants in the village and down below in Lynmouth, so plenty of choice.

Under dit ophold
We love to meet our guests and chat about what can be found when exploring the area, where to go and how to get there, or perhaps simply talking about life, the universe and the stars. Or maybe you simply want peace and quiet, and we respect that too, we want it at times.
