The Wrangle Mountains are a magical place and so is Sweet Creek B&B. Turn right at mile 58.5 McCarthy Road, and follow the blue Sweet Creek B&B signs for 5 miles down a meandering country road. It takes about 15 minutes, and it's easy to find us. Drive right up and bring your belongings in. Presently, wifi is available in McCarthy town, 6 miles away. The bedroom is nice with 2 full size beds. Sorry no photo. If you want to be closer to McCarthy, please book with a different establishment.

Boligen
We are fortunate to live in a remote part of Alaska. We use a large generator and battery bank to create energy. Therefor some items that you use in town would drain the power like electric curling irons, hair dryers, toasters, and fans. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from using these.

Gæsteadgang
The #2 bedroom has 2 double beds.
We provide a nice breakfast along with all linen, towels, and shampoo. The facilities are very comfortable. Common areas include a comfortable living room and dining room. There are 2 bathrooms. One is a full bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The other bathroom is a ½ bath. A wood stove provides heat when needed and is taken care of by us.

Outside we have a ½ screened in gazebo located in a spot where 2 creeks merge. Water trickling over the rocks is amazingly soothing. This cute building has a picnic table and range, for light cooking, no refrigerator, and no water or clean up station. You are responsible to wash dishes in the house where all food needs to be stored. Immediate clean up, including garbage, needs to be taken care of right away because we want to be thoughtful and kind to the wildlife.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
Sweet Creek B&B is a quiet place to kick back and reveal in being in the outdoors while enjoying the amenities of a nice home. We hope that you will fondly remember your stay with us.

About 30 feet from the house is a crystal clear natural spring with several pools, with insects, frogs, as well as small birds swooping in and out. We continue to be careful to keep it clean. For your safety and to keep wildlife around, we ask that you do not go down to the pools or creek.

Our property is a tobacco free and we do no allow dogs. The entire first floor is pet free and for your use. We have 2 black labs that love people and are friendly although we prefer that they stay upstairs with the property owner. 10:00 p.m quiet time.

It has been my great fortune to have been born and lived my life in Alaska. Growing up on a hunting guide lodge, with as many as 50 horses on the White River, was my childhood dream come true. Real life experiences: guiding, bicycling, triathlons, technical search and rescue work, technical climbing, glacier travel, mountain climbing, teaching in remote villages around Alaska, construction worker and world traveler have led me back home, for the past 20 years, to the Wrangell Mountains and McCarthy. It is a blessing to have this amazing homestead home surrounded by the magnificent Wrangell Mountains.
