  • The Westbury white horse although we call it the Bratton white horse as it is within ancient borders. Scene of the battle of Ethendun when King Alfred fought of the Vikings who had hold of the rest of the kingdom and also burnt some cakes. Allegedly.
  • Bratton village. With a shop, a pub and a beautiful church.
  • Lola and Jeeves. They'll bark when you arrive but it's not personal. It's their job. You won't see them in your annex.

  • Avebury Stone circles. Free to walk close and touch. A good day out. Fabulous day out visit Avebury manor house with 1930s tea rooms, picnic on the beautiful gardens.
  • Avebury manor. Beautiful gardens. Each room inside decorated in a different era. Try Elisabeth an herb bed or dress as a Tudor.  Vintage 30s tea rooms.
  • 20 mins away. Animal safari and adventure park. Historical home of Lord Bath. Hot air balloon and other events. Check website.
  • Balloons flying from Bath are a usual site.
  • Centre Parcs aqua sauna. Pre book a day at the spa. Open to non CP guests.
  • 20 minutes to Lacock. Entire village used in many tv and films. Harry's cottage. The amazing Sign of the Angel restaurant. Well kept secret. National trust village.

  • The mainline station to Paddington London is 3 miles away. If you're staying with us for a few days Harris is only 90 minutes away by train. Shop then come home to our rural peace and quiet.
  • Wooly Hole caves and Cheddar Gorge.  http://www.wookey.co.uk/wookey-hole-events/  if it's too hot outside spend a day in cooler temperatures underground.
  • We've finished your small private courtyard. Not massive but enough to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink or have an Al fresco breakfast on us.

  • The town if Bradford on Avon is often over looked by visitors. It has some interesting original little shops and some good restaurants.  The picture shows the Avon and some riverside restaurants.
